1. Physical Therapist I

As an autonomous practitioner and key multi-disciplinary team member, the physiotherapist will provide holistic assessment and goal orientated treatment through a patient centered model of care. Utilizing a broad range of physiotherapeutic techniques, to effectively promote health and wellbeing and maximize functional recovery, using both a restorative and preventative approach to patient care.
To provide high quality, Physiotherapy services across the following key Rehabilitation areas:
Orthopedics and Rheumatology
Cardiac Rehabilitation
Musculoskeletal and Sports Medicine

Women’s Health
Neurology and Neurosurgery

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides critically reasoned and holistic, physiotherapeutic assessments, for inpatients and outpatients, referred with varying complexities of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neurological, or cardio-respiratory presentations, encompassing physical, psychological, emotional, and social aspects.
  • Provides goal orientated, evidence-based, and clinically reasoned treatment plans alone and in conjunction with an integrated team of physicians, nurses, and other Allied Health Professionals.
  • Provides effective and safe patient (and family) education to assist in the management of and/or recovery from, injury, illness, or disease.
  • Takes an active role within In-Service training, facilitating the training and development of non-therapy staff and sharing knowledge and skills where appropriate.
  • Manages own time and caseload with an awareness of limitation of the therapy service and a knowledge of specialist facilities and appropriate referral.

2. Physical Therapist II

As an autonomous practitioner and key multi-disciplinary team member, the physiotherapist will provide specialist, holistic assessment and goal-orientated treatment through a patient centred model of care. Utilizing a broad range of physiotherapeutic techniques, they will effectively promote health and well-being and maximize functional recovery, using both a restorative and preventative approach to patient care.  They will manage their own caseload of patients with complex medical and rehabilitative needs.  They will assist other team members where required, to effectively manage patients and promote knowledge sharing and skill acquisition.

3. Phlebotomist II

To perform blood collection, specimen registration and low to medium complexity testing in the department of laboratories and appropriate clinical areas of TVH. To receive, label and load samples onto analysers and preform pre analytical quality checks on submitted specimens.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of routine blood drawing procedures to include venepuncture techniques using standard equipment to include vacutainer tubes and sleeves, tourniquets, syringes, and butterfly needles.
  • Collects venous blood, capillary blood, using precautions that ensure the safety of the patient and laboratory staff.
  • Collects, registers, and transports laboratory diagnostic specimens and the management of all preanalytical aspects of these services.
  • Prepares, processes, labels and stores patient specimens and samples according to departmental procedures using standard techniques and equipment, for subsequent analysis by Clinical Laboratory staff.
  • Performs low complexity laboratory tests and the management of all aspects of these services.
  • Provides technical guidance to Phlebotomy students/trainees assigned to work area.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies and re-order as required.

4. Dental Assistant

The Dental Assistant will be responsible for providing hands-on support to the dentists and completing prep work so they can care for patients more efficiently.
His/her duties include completing intake paperwork and updating patient records, sterilizing and organizing dental tools, and assisting during dental procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Works with the Dentist to ensure that patient care is appropriate and efficient.
  • Assists with all regulatory compliance (HIPPA, OSHA, emergency preparedness, infection control, etc.) for the Dentistry.
  • Assists the Dentist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments.
  • Prepares the examination rooms for appointments by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for the dentist.
  • Requires exposure to potential pathogens during assisting and sterilization procedures.
  • Maintains logs for equipment maintenance and for other safety logs required by the Hospital and Department, for infection control. 
  • Monitors and orders supply inventory.
  • Assists the dentist during their procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs throughout the appointment.
  • Takes and processes X-rays of patients and uploads radiographs to the computer.
  • Pours and trims dental impressions and takes digital oral scans.
  • Fills orders for dental prosthetics, including dentures, bridges, crowns, veneers, and inlays.

5. Anesthesia Technologist I

The Anesthesia Technologist assists the licensed anesthesia provider in the acquisition, preparation and application of equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. Is committed to customer service and has the ability to meet the needs and expectations of healthcare colleagues and patients, adapts well and is flexible to changing situations, and demonstrates effective communication and teamwork skills. Provides support in anesthesia for routine and complex surgical cases by preparing and maintaining patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during, and after anesthesia. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the licensed anesthesia provider in various settings, performing duties under the direct supervision of the licensed anesthesia provider, and providing support for routine surgical cases. Identifies safety concerns in the age-related population and is able to institute protective measures to provide a safe environment.
The scope of responsibility, duties, and accountability at the facility department and position levels including knowledge and practice of the clinical/technical skills necessary to the position consistent with the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) Anesthesia Technologist Scope of Practice.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance with invasive and non-invasive techniques (excluding the catheter insertion) which includes the following: direct systemic arterial, right arterial, central venous and pulmonary artery pressure measurements, patient monitoring and set up for anesthetic and respiratory gas, blood draw and placing EKG electrodes, blood pressure cuff and pulse oximetry on the patient.
  • Assists the licensed anesthesia provider in difficult airway intubation by providing video laryngoscopy equipment and/or fiber optic intubation scope as requested. Knowledgeable in the techniques used in securing an open airway, e.g., jaw thrust, jaw lift, or tongue hold.
  • Executes the Malignant Hyperthermia protocol as it pertains to the preparation of the anesthesia machine.
  • Awareness of appropriate procedure to properly respond to codes and initiate the proper procedures to assist the licensed anesthesia provider and OR staff.

6. Consultant

The Consultant is a professional advisor in their respective field of expertise providing guidance to the business or organization and the individuals in terms of systems, processes or overall business strategies.
