Job Title: Workshop Manager
Job Purpose
The Workshop Manager is responsible for managing and planning a network of workshops in an efficient, safe, and cost-effective manner. This role involves enhancing in-house shop capabilities to meet business requirements, reduce maintenance costs and turnaround time, and ensure compliance with legal requirements while maintaining the highest operational and service standards.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Workshop Operations
- Responsible for the safe and efficient running of the workshops.
- Ensure timely maintenance and servicing of all equipment as per agreed performance standards.
- Drive continuous improvements across the business to optimize existing strategies and develop new ones.
- Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the department.
- Ensure that all transactions are properly recorded in the system of records platform.
- Ensure quality of work across all departments.
- Drive and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and ensure compliance with local legislation and company requirements.
- Manage and deploy global Workshop Management strategies and standards to improve performance in areas like cost, productivity, quality, asset turnaround, and people management.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections in support of 5S methodology.
- Carry out monthly cost analysis in line with depot targets and KPIs.
Team Management & Development
- Manage recruitment, induction, performance appraisals, training, and development for direct reports.
- Provide technical support to clients and internal teams as required.
- Focus on asset lifecycle analysis, ensuring maximum productivity and minimum downtime for assets.
- Periodically travel to ensure consistent standards across all areas of the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in maintenance and overhaul of industrial or construction plant and equipment.
- Experience with diesel and electrical-driven equipment such as water pumps, generators, heavy hydraulic equipment, compressors, and electrical control gear.
- Strong knowledge of asset management and economic analysis.
- Proven experience in driving operational continuous improvements.
- Well-developed business acumen and strategic planning skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines while multitasking.
- Focused on quality and committed to achieving total customer satisfaction.
- Strong emphasis on safety, including personal safety, coworker safety, and property protection.
- Environmental awareness and knowledge of the impact of operational systems on the environment.
- Sound judgment and the ability to explain reasoning for decisions.
- Ability to set clear priorities, delegate, and invest in people and systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in fabrication, welding, and manufacturing is a plus.
- Valid local driving license.

- إدارة ونشر استراتيجيات ومعايير إدارة الورش العالمية لتحسين الأداء في مجالات مثل التكلفة والإنتاجية والجودة ودورة الأصول وإدارة الأشخاص.
- إجراء التدقيقات والفحوصات المنتظمة لدعم منهجية 5S.
- إجراء تحليل التكلفة الشهري بما يتماشى مع أهداف الورش ومعايير الأداء المحددة.
إدارة وتطوير الفريق
- إدارة التوظيف، والتوجيه، وتقييم الأداء، والتدريب، والتطوير للتقارير المباشرة.
- تقديم الدعم الفني للعملاء والفرق الداخلية حسب الحاجة.
- التركيز على تحليل دورة حياة الأصول، وضمان أقصى إنتاجية وأدنى وقت تعطل للأصول.
- السفر بشكل دوري لضمان معايير متسقة عبر جميع أنحاء المنظمة.
المؤهلات والخبرة
- خبرة لا تقل عن 5 سنوات في صيانة وإصلاح المعدات الصناعية أو الإنشائية.
- خبرة في المعدات التي تعمل بالديزل والكهرباء مثل المضخات المائية والمولدات والمعدات الهيدروليكية الثقيلة والضواغط والمعدات الكهربائية.
- معرفة قوية بإدارة الأصول والتحليل الاقتصادي.
- خبرة مثبتة في دفع التحسينات التشغيلية المستمرة.
- مهارات تخطيط استراتيجية وتفكير تجاري متطور.
