Medical Writer, Global Scope
Key Responsibilities
Manages medical writing activities associated with individual studies, coordinating medical writing activities within and across departments.
Contribute to cross-functional alignment and education to ensure appropriate incorporation of scientific evidence statements into all medical content and communications.
Creates content for the Points de Vue magazine.
Identifies and proposes solutions to resolve issues and questions arising during the writing process, including resolution or escalation as appropriate.
Reviews statistical analysis plans and table/figure/listing specifications for appropriate content, and for grammar, format, and consistency.
Interacts with department head and staff members in data management, biostatistics, regulatory affairs, and medical affairs as necessary to produce writing deliverables.
Adheres to established regulatory standards, as well as Company Standard Operating Procedures, client standards, and approved templates when completing medical writing projects, on-time and on-budget.
Performs on-line clinical literature searches, as applicable.
Maintains familiarity with current industry practices and regulatory requirements and guidelines that affect medical writing
The Candidate
Experience and Professional Qualifications
At least 5 years of professional experience in medical writing.
Proven ability to perform in-depth medical literature research, analysis and interpretation.
Knowledge of the vision/eye care space is a plus.
Educational Background: Advanced degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent required.
English native.
Other European languages are a plus.

Experience and Professional Qualifications
Clinical trial experience on Phase IV studies is mandatory.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in clinical research in a role that oversees (project management) and/or with monitoring clinical trials.
Previous experience working with Ethical Committee, relevant regulatory and legal knowledge.
Capable of leading in a matrix environment, without direct reports.
Understanding of all aspects of clinical development with particular emphasis on monitoring and study execution.
Skills and Competencies
Strong project management capabilities with demonstrated ability to problem solve and mediate complex issues.
Thorough understanding of the international aspects of medical device development process, including strong knowledge of international standards.
