Job Title: Middle and Secondary Grades' Math Teacher (January 2025)
Location: Doha, Qatar
Responsibilities:
Planning Instruction
Develop yearly, unit, weekly, and daily lesson plans based on school-mandated programs and strategies aligned with the British Columbia Canada Ministry of Education Curriculum.Effective Teaching
Utilize available teaching strategies, resources, and instructional frameworks to provide differentiated learning opportunities tailored to diverse student needs, ensuring curriculum guidelines are met.Enrichment Activities
Organize and participate in enrichment events such as field trips, concerts, plays, and other school-wide activities at both the class and school levels.Communication
Clearly communicate assignments, objectives, and expectations to students, ensuring clarity and precision in all instructions. Send homework that reinforces classroom learning and supports skill development.Student Progress Monitoring
Regularly assess student progress using both formative and summative assessments to plan and adjust instruction. Provide feedback to students, parents, and the school administration.Team Collaboration
Actively engage in Grade Level Team discussions and cross-grade level planning meetings to enhance instructional consistency and student outcomes.Parent Interaction
Maintain professional relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their children's progress and addressing behavioral or academic concerns in a constructive manner.Student Supervision
Supervise students in the classroom, on campus, and during off-campus school activities, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.Classroom Assistant Supervision
Guide, motivate, and manage the classroom assistant (if assigned) to support student learning effectively.Record Keeping
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on student progress and behavior in accordance with school policies.Professional Development

Attend after-school collaboration meetings and meetings with parents of at-risk students as required.Additional Duties
Participate in entry assessments, staff meetings, and substitute teaching when necessary, and perform any additional related duties as assigned by the principal.
Working Hours:
- Official working hours: 6:30 am - 2:20 pm
- After-school meetings: 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm once a week
- Teachers residing in school accommodation must remain at school until 2:30 pm.
Certification:
- Begin the process of obtaining British Columbia teacher certification immediately upon accepting the job offer, providing all necessary documents in a timely manner.
