Materials engineers will test and evaluate materials used in design and construction. They ensure that building and infrastructure materials are appropriate and provide guidance on the best materials to use on a project, based on their individual characteristics, project costs and timeframes.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, test and evaluate materials.
• Provide advice on the suitability of different materials for their products.
• Identify and remedy defects or defects.
