Role and responsibilities
Obtain project drawings, accurately assess material and manpower requirements and hand over material/manpower requirements to the purchasing department to enable procurement, after approval is obtained.
Assist in the preparation of accurate project programmes, clearly indicating timeframes and activities involved in the project and monitor progress against the project plan and take corrective action where required through effective coordination with the client, various types of sub-contractors, etc.
Regularly supervising the site, keeping the client updated on the progress of the project and taking care of all technical and engineering issues, additional manpower requirements, drawing changes, etc. in an efficient and timely manner thus achieving the project requirements and quality standards.
Track project milestones and deliverables, verify and deliver progress reports, complete documentation requirements with specified frequency, analyze reports/results and troubleshoot, post approval, if required.
Keep accurate records of delays and changes that occurred and assist the PQS in preparing claims for changes and extensions of time.
Oversee and ensure adherence to QA/QC HSE policies to ensure quality and ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
Receive hitch lists from consultants, arrange sub-contractors for various works, monitor all jobs for timely completion, including timely attendance during defect liability period.
Guide and motivate subordinates to improve performance and produce quality work.
qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as construction management, civil engineering, or architecture. A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in fit-out projects, is expected.
