About the Job

Mission
Be responsible for technical integrity and compliance with estimated costs and deadlines throughout the various engineering phases of the project. Perform direct engineering tasks to guarantee the quality of the product according to methods requirements.

Tasks

The Offshore Methods Engineer executes activities within their area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.

Primary Tasks Include

• Report to the Offshore Method Lead.
• Develop a general engineering schedule as outlined in the contract, subject to Project review.
• Identify technical problems and make necessary decisions within the limits set by contractual requirements.
• Define tasks and sub-tasks or supervise the drafting of these by other resources, as needed.
• Determine the materials or services needed for engineering tasks within the assigned budget, in coordination with direct supervisors.
• Approve technical designs required for purchasing or constructing products for the Client.
• Participate in meetings to review or audit technical designs, and collaborate in technical discussions with the Client. Cost and scheduling decisions impacting contractual obligations must be approved by the Project Engineer and communicated to both the Engineering and Project Managers.
• Notify supervisors and the Project Manager of issues arising in other engineering areas.
• Conduct necessary engineering verifications and calculations for the implementation methodology.
• Supervise and verify the drafting of methodology descriptions for implementation.
• Summarize all methodology activities in a manual, highlighting any potential obstacles, and include all relevant data from analyses by other resources.
• Ensure that vessel operation personnel receive all necessary data in the form of reports, manuals, and drawings.
• Oversee activities offshore or at any required construction location as necessary for the project.
• Undertake varying levels of involvement in these activities, depending on Project or Bid assistance requirements.
• Participate in offshore activities as a field engineer when requested, both in the yards and during vessel operations.
• Verify equipment and materials as part of project responsibilities.

ينفذ مهندس الأساليب البحرية الأنشطة التي تقع ضمن نطاق مسؤوليته، مما يضمن الامتثال لمتطلبات ضمان الجودة (QA)، ومراقبة الجودة (QC)، والصحة والسلامة والبيئة (HSE).

• إعداد جدول هندسي عام كما هو موضح في العقد، مع مراعاة مراجعة المشروع.

• المشاركة في الاجتماعات لمراجعة أو تدقيق التصاميم الفنية، والتعاون في المناقشات الفنية مع العميل. يجب الموافقة على قرارات التكلفة والجدولة التي تؤثر على الالتزامات التعاقدية من قبل مهندس المشروع وإبلاغها إلى كل من الهندسة ومديري المشروع.
• إخطار المشرفين ومدير المشروع بشأن المشكلات التي تنشأ في مجالات الهندسة الأخرى.
• إجراء التحققات والحسابات الهندسية اللازمة لمنهجية التنفيذ.
• الإشراف والتحقق من صياغة أوصاف المنهجية للتنفيذ.
• تلخيص جميع أنشطة المنهجية في دليل، مع تسليط الضوء على أي عقبات محتملة، وإدراج جميع البيانات ذات الصلة من التحليلات التي أجريت بواسطة مصادر أخرى.
