Trainer - Fashion Design
Responsibilities
- Teach fashion design theory and practical skills, including sketching, fabric selection, pattern making, garment construction, fashion history, and trend forecasting.
- Create engaging, up-to-date course content and lesson plans that align with the curriculum and industry standards.
- Provide practical, hands-on training in sewing, draping, pattern making, and garment fitting.
- Conduct regular assessments and offer constructive feedback to help students improve their design skills and technical knowledge.
- Keep abreast of the latest fashion trends, techniques, and technologies in the fashion industry to ensure the course content remains relevant.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Fashion Design or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fashion design, including practical design work, teaching, or industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, textiles, pattern drafting, and fashion trends.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- A passion for fashion and teaching, with a commitment to students’ success.
- Experience teaching or training fashion design at a professional or educational institution.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in sustainable fashion and digital fashion technologies.
