About The Role
The Calibration Specialist ensures the technical compliance of all documentation and activities related to calibration and provides technical support to Supply Chain and Compliance and Safety departments with regard to externally calibrated equipment and vendors.
Operational Responsibilities
- Carries out calibration and repair of electrical and mechanical test equipment to meet Qatar Airways tooling calibration requirements.
- Ensures the adequacy of test and measurement equipment suitable for the scope of the Calibration Lab to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards.
- Ensures the proper accommodation, environment, and safety for all operational calibration activities to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards.
- Prepares calibration, preventative maintenance, and intermediate check schedules for calibration equipment to maintain serviceability and compliance with ISO 17025 standards.
- Prepares and approves tools Calibration Certificates to meet ISO 17025 requirements.
- Creates, maintains, and validates measurement tolerances for all required parameters to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 requirements.
- Responsible for method validation and creation of calibration methods to maintain compliance with manufacturer’s instructions and regulatory requirements.
- Identifies training needs and assesses staff readiness for authorization of calibration staff to meet customer requirements.
- Identifies areas for capability enhancement and provides technical assistance to the Calibration Manager for new capabilities to meet business requirements.
- Creates and maintains a database with multiple part numbers to define a suitable external vendor to provide support to the Supply Chain Repair Group.
- Provides subject matter expertise to support the Compliance and Safety group for the audit of external calibration vendors.
- Collaborates with the Receiving Inspection team to ensure that received calibration certificates are in compliance with QR requirements.
- Performs other department duties related to the position as directed by the Head of the Department.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a high school or vocational qualification or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience. Experience in a technical field, particularly in calibration, is essential.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Calibration laboratory experience, with at least 3 years in an ISO 17025 accredited lab within the aviation industry.
- Extensive knowledge of Measurement Uncertainty and complex calculations to define lab measurement capabilities.
- In-depth understanding of calibration principles across multiple disciplines.
- Experience auditing ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratories.
- Proficiency in interpreting equipment specifications to determine calibration requirements.

المرشح المثالي سيكون لديه مؤهل ثانوي أو مؤهل مهني أو ما يعادله مع خبرة لا تقل عن 5 سنوات في مجال العمل المتعلق، أو درجة بكاليروس مع خبرة لا تقل عن 4 سنوات في المجال المتعلق. الخبرة في المجال الفني، خصوصاً في المعايرة، أمر أساسي.

About The Role
Qatar Airways’ Enterprise UX team is seeking a User Research Specialist. In this role, you will design, conduct, and analyze user research, ensuring that employee-facing enterprise applications and operational digital journeys are built with user needs at the forefront. You will work closely with UX architects, product managers, and designers to uncover behavioral insights, validate design assumptions, and optimize user journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop user research plans that align with project goals and enterprise UX strategy.
- Choose appropriate research methodologies, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, contextual inquiries, and behavioral analytics.
- Define user personas, journey maps, and experience blueprints to support UX decisions.
- Conduct in-depth user research to understand employee workflows, operational pain points, and user needs across various digital platforms.
- Perform usability testing to evaluate digital interfaces and identify areas for improvement.
- Leverage quantitative data (heatmaps, analytics, A/B testing) to validate user behavior insights.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and field research to align digital products with business objectives.
- Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights to drive UX improvements.
- Create detailed research reports, journey maps, and usability recommendations.
- Present research findings to cross-functional teams, executives, and decision-makers.
- Advocate for user needs while balancing technical constraints and business goals.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Design, or similar, and a minimum of 2 years of experience required.
- Expertise in qualitative & quantitative research methodologies.
- Ability to translate research insights into actionable design recommendations.
- Good understanding of usability heuristics, human-centered design, and behavioral psychology.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills to present research findings.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret complex data.

About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating tailoring services operations and data analysis to enhance the current service delivery, improving the quality of tailoring and customer experience.
Main Duties Include
- Supervising tailoring and fitting of uniform items within the parameters of the approved fitting guide.
- Supervising the tailoring facility within the uniforms department.
- Monitoring supplier performance in relation to quality, alteration revision, etc.
- Supervising supplier performance data analysis in compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Assisting with the coordination with IT for the development, testing, and deployment of tailoring services UMS.
- Data extraction and information compilation for current and future tailoring concepts, system requirements, functionality and reporting, data analysis, quality improvement, SOPs, and policies.
- Performing other department duties related to the position as directed by the Head of the Department.
About You
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with a Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience or High School Qualification/Vocational Qualification/Diploma or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
- Advanced knowledge of garment measurement.
- Relevant experience in tailoring services and measurements in the Factory, Retailer, or Garment industry.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to analyze and make improvements.
