Job Description:
- Conduct inspections of coating materials, application processes, and finished coatings in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Perform surface preparation inspections, including checks on cleanliness, profile, and environmental conditions.
- Monitor coating application techniques to ensure compliance with manufacturers’ recommendations and industry best practices.
- Document and report inspection findings, noting deviations from specifications and any non-conformances.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project managers to resolve coating-related issues or concerns.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection activities, including reports, photographs, and test results.
- Participate in pre-inspection meetings, progress updates, and project closeout activities as required.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of coating materials, application methods, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with regulations and standards such as API, ASTM, and NACE is essential.
Requirements:
- Engineering Diploma or Degree in a relevant field.
- Valid BGAS-CSWIP Grade 2 or CIP Level 2 certification or above.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in painting/coating within the oil and gas industry.
- Preferred candidates with QG/QE approval or relevant experience.
- Must possess a valid QID (freelancer) with NOC or transferable company sponsorship.
- Candidate must be locally available in Qatar.
