Mace is seeking a Senior Architecture Design, Design and Advisory Consultant to join our growing team in Qatar. As a key member of our Consult business, you will be responsible for leading design resources, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance standards are met, and managing design management processes to deliver key strategic outcomes. You will also mentor and develop a diverse project team while collaborating closely with clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage design resources for projects, ensuring exceptional safety, quality, cost, program, sustainability, and compliance standards.
- Act as the operational manager for design teams, ensuring the smooth delivery of design management processes and influencing strategic outcomes.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients on design-related issues, fostering strong, ongoing relationships.
- Implement and execute design management systems, processes, and protocols to meet legal, statutory, and contractual requirements.
- Mentor and coach project teams, providing opportunities for growth and knowledge sharing.
- Manage daily operations, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and present management review data to leadership.
- Support business development activities, identify new opportunities, and contribute to the success of work-winning activities.
- Collaborate with project management office (PMO) teams to ensure coordinated deliverables and seamless project execution.
- Take ownership of sustainability goals, contributing to the net-zero carbon transition and actively managing associated emissions and reductions.
Requirements
- A recognised degree in Architecture or Engineering.
- Professional or chartered license in the field.
- Extensive experience in workplace/office HQ fit-out projects, as well as successful delivery of projects in the construction sector.
- Membership of RIBA, MICE, CIBSE, CIOB, RICS, CIAT, or similar professional bodies.
- Deep knowledge of construction contracts, Building Safety legislation, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Leadership experience managing large, diverse teams and working with senior stakeholders.
- Expertise in carbon and sustainability considerations within project delivery.
