Job Article: Senior Mechanical Engineer - Worley

The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will manage and coordinate mechanical engineering activities to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time. The engineer will act as the primary technical coordination interface with the client to ensure that the project meets the client's expectations and adheres to the approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. HSE Management:

   • Support the WorleyParsons One-Way Program and ensure compliance with HSE requirements in design and procurement.

2. Client Relationships:

   • Establish and maintain healthy client relationships and proactively resolve project issues with the client.

3. Scope Management:

   • Ensure compliance with WPMP and contract requirements, applying effective change control processes.

4. Cost Control:

   • Monitor cost aspects of the project, forecast final costs, identify trends, and take action to avoid cost overruns.

5. Quality Management:

   • Contribute to supporting and complying with WorleyParsons policies, procedures, and guidelines.

6. Team Management:

   • Focus the team on achieving milestones and other key project objectives.

7. Communications Management:

   • Effectively communicate with the design team and third parties and provide timely reports to the Project Manager.

8. Risk Management:

   • Monitor the closure of identified risks and proactively search for other potential risks.

9. Design Management:

   • Set clear objectives for the design team and manage inter-discipline interfaces effectively.

10. Procurement/Subcontracts Management:

    • Assist in the procurement processes to ensure goods meet specifications, are delivered on time, and are within budget.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university.
2. Relevant oil & gas project management experience in GCC, preferably in Qatar.
3. Strong mechanical engineering knowledge, familiar with QP specs and Standards/Codes.
4. Experience in managing and supervising projects in multiple locations.
5. Preferred to have QID and Qatar driving license.

5. إدارة الجودة:

   • المساهمة في دعم الامتثال لسياسات وإجراءات WorleyParsons.

6. إدارة الفريق:

7. إدارة الاتصال:

1. درجة بكالوريوس (دراسة بدوام كامل) في الهندسة الميكانيكية من جامعة معترف بها.
2. خبرة عملية ذات صلة في إدارة المشاريع في قطاع النفط والغاز، ويفضل في مناطق الخليج العربي وقطر.
3. معرفة قوية في الهندسة الميكانيكية ومعايير/رموز وموصفات QP.
4. القدرة على إدارة والإشراف على مشاريع في مواقع متعددة.
5. يُفضل وجود بطاقة هوية قطرية ورخصة قيادة قطرية.
