About The Role

As a Product Consultant at Shopify, you will join a growing team focused on providing post-sales technical expertise to our largest merchants. This role will see you offering paid consultation services, guiding merchants through complex solutions such as customized checkouts, subscriptions, and headless builds. You’ll be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across Shopify’s ecosystem and support merchants in optimizing their businesses.

Your role will involve:

• Collaborating with internal teams (Merchant Success, Solutions Engineering, Sales) and third-party partners to develop and implement strategies.
• Consulting with merchants on high-level integration needs, providing technical guidance across various business system solutions.
• Selling consultation services to Shopify merchants, using probing and positioning techniques to understand their needs and deliver value.
• Working closely with Shopify's largest merchants, helping them customize and grow their business systems on Shopify Plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with merchants' internal and third-party teams on complex technical integrations.
• Provide consultation to Shopify merchants of all sizes, including enterprise-level businesses with over $1B in GMV.
• Identify trends in your merchant base and collaborate with the Shopify Product and Support teams.
• Collaborate closely with Merchant Success teams to drive product adoption.
• Manage executive-level conversations and confidently present complex solutions.

Requirements

• A strong understanding of Cloud-based technologies and SaaS fundamentals.

• Familiarity with API technologies like REST and GraphQL.

What You Need To Be Successful

• Passionate about offensive security
• 5+ years of working experience as a penetration tester
• Working knowledge of multiple relevant tools in the domain (such as, but not limited to Burp Suite, Kali Linux, OWASP Zap Proxy, DnSpy, IDA Pro etc.)
• Working knowledge of at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, PowerShell etc.), and understanding of one or more programming languages (e.g. .NET, C++, Java)
• Understanding of common technologies, such as Active Directory, O365, cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), Windows, OS X and Linux operating systems, networking, etc. – and of their common vulnerabilities and attack vectors
• Understanding of common mobile platforms, such as Android and iPhone
• Ability to translate technical jargon for the IT and Business stakeholders
• Good English verbal and written communication skills
• OSCP or OSCE or any other relevant certification is a plus
• Software engineering background is a plus

What You Will Do Day-to-day

• Perform mobile application, web application and client/server applications penetration tests
• Source code review and report writing.
• Review and process security reports from external researchers and bug bounty programs
• Advise on secure application development and secure software/network architecture

To support our growth, we are looking for a Product Designer to join our team. As a Product Designer, your responsibilities will include:

Pre-Sales:

• Discovery: Identify client needs through in-depth research, user interviews, and competitor analysis. Collaborate with founders to understand the product vision, market trends, business goals, and constraints.
• Framing and Estimation: Develop detailed framing and estimation plans aligned with the product vision and business strategy.

Discovery:

• Opportunity Identification: Leverage data analysis, business opportunity trees, and competitor studies to identify opportunities or friction points.
• Solution Ideation: Collaborate with stakeholders using tools like Lean UX and Canva to design potential solutions.
• Solution Validation: Define the MVP through prototyping, Figma mockups, and user feedback to validate proposals.

Delivery:
