Support Engineer - Qatar
Responsibilities
- System & Infrastructure Support
- Provide support for MS SQL Server-based systems (Head Office, Back Office, POS).
- Manage the support of Card Management System.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve all application, user, and system issues.
- Ensure high performance of Retail systems across Head Office and all sites.
- User & Client Support
- Liaise with users at Head Office and fuel stations to resolve technical issues.
- Provide training and guidance to users on system functionalities as required.
- Work closely with vendors and external support teams for any third-party system issues.
Requirements
- Technical Skills
- Background in infrastructure support (networking, servers, storage, cloud, security).
- Proficiency in managing and supporting MS SQL Server environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems, bank terminals, etc.
- Knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and other network management tools.
- Experience in Implementing, testing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting applications.
- Experience in providing first point of contact technical support to end-users for IT-related issues.
- Experience in writing queries and managing MS SQL and writing scripts.
- Good understanding of Web Services, API, and IP-based protocols.
- Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in IT support roles.
- Experience working with retail systems or similar environments with distributed sites.
- Personal Attributes
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing support team.
- Able to manage high-pressure situations and lead incident responses.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently when required.

- الدعم الفني للبنية التحتية
- تقديم الدعم لأنظمة MS SQL Server (المكتب الرئيسي، المكتب الخلفي، نقاط البيع).
- إدارة دعم نظام إدارة البطاقات.
- استكشاف المشاكل والتشخيص وحل جميع القضايا المتعلقة بالتطبيقات، المستخدمين، والأنظمة.

- المهارات التقنية
- خلفية قوية في دعم البنية التحتية (الشبكات، الخوادم، التخزين، السحابة، الأمان).
- إتقان في إدارة ودعم بيئات MS SQL Server.
- معرفة بأنظمة نقاط البيع، وأجهزة البنك، وغيرها.
- معرفة ببروتوكولات الشبكات، الجدران النارية، VPN، وأدوات إدارة الشبكة الأخرى.
- خبرة في تنفيذ، اختبار، تكوين، استكشاف المشاكل ودعم التطبيقات.
- خبرة في توفير نقطة الاتصال الأولى وتقديم الدعم الفني للمستخدمين النهائيين حسب قضايا تكنولوجيا المعلومات.
- خبرة في كتابة الاستفسارات وإدارة MS SQL وكتابة السكربتات.
- فهم جيد لخدمات الويب، API، والبروتوكولات المعتمدة على IP.
- الخبرة
- حد أدنى من الخبرة 3 سنوات في أدوار دعم تكنولوجيا المعلومات.
