Lead Engineer - Process

About The Role


Lead the design, development, and optimization of process engineering deliverables.
Ensure compliance with international standards such as API, ASME, NFPA, IEC, ISO 9001, and OSHA.
Conduct process simulations, heat and mass balance calculations, and P&ID development.
Perform hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and process modeling.
Review and approve Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and process datasheets.
Lead HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and LOPA studies to ensure process safety and risk management.
Support FEED, detailed engineering, and commissioning phases of projects.
Provide technical expertise in process troubleshooting, debottlenecking, and performance optimization.
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, piping, and instrumentation teams.
Manage stakeholder communication, including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements


Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in process engineering within EPC, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical industries.
Strong experience with process simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, UniSim, Pipesim, OLGA).
Proficiency in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and LOPA methodologies.
Knowledge of equipment sizing, process control strategies, and safety system design.
Experience in brownfield and greenfield process engineering projects.
Leadership experience in mentoring junior engineers and managing project teams.
Strong understanding of HSE and process safety compliance.
