Job Opportunity – Fitout Site Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractors, suppliers, and workers.

Associate Professor of Gulf Studies

Job Description

The Gulf Studies Program is seeking an Associate Professor who is motivated to teach and develop graduate courses in International Relations of the Gulf or the Political Economy of the Gulf. The candidate should have a strong interest in teaching and research in areas of International Relations, International Economy, and Political Economy, with a specific emphasis on the Gulf region.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Teach courses and supervise students in International Relations of the Gulf or the Political Economy of the Gulf.
2. Contribute to various committees at the Program, College, and University levels.
3. Enhance the research profile of the College through publications.
4. Serve as a graduate student advisor.
5. Provide guidance, support, and supervision for students’ research and theses.
6. Actively participate in program, college activities, and committees.
7. Contribute significantly to the development of the Gulf Studies Program and Research Center.
8. Provide service to the profession, university, the community, and the State of Qatar.
9. Perform other academic duties as per Qatar University’s academic bylaws.

Required Qualifications

1. Ph.D. in International Relations, Political Economy, International Economy, or related fields.
2. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
3. Arabic language proficiency is preferred.
4. Proven record of supervising graduate theses and dissertations.
5. Strong peer-reviewed publication record.
6. Teaching experience at the postgraduate level.
7. Familiarity with and strong interest in the Gulf region.
8. Experience with educational technologies used in higher education.

• Oversee the management and surveillance of marine life, ensuring the safety and well-being of all aquatic creatures.
• Develop appropriate feeding strategies, including underwater feeding, to meet the nutritional needs of all species.
