The Ministry of Labor has launched a new package of new electronic services as part of its efforts towards digital transformation and automation of services, which contributes to achieving excellence in performance, speedy completion of transactions and simplification of procedures, including work visas in Qatar.

The Ministry explained that the package of new electronic services that was launched includes four types, including the service for submitting applications for work visas in Qatar, the service for adding a government contract to an establishment’s record, the service for submitting labor recruitment applications for governmental and semi-governmental institutions, and /Service for submitting worker recruitment applications for Qatar Financial Center companies.
Service for submitting recruitment applications for temporary work visas
According to the Ministry of Labor in Qatar, the service of submitting recruitment applications for temporary work visas allows companies and institutions to request the issuance of a recruitment approval for workers on a temporary basis to work in the State of Qatar, while the service of submitting labor recruitment applications for governmental and semi-governmental institutions allows entities wishing to recruit workers from outside the country and employ them to work for them. .
A government contracting service also provides companies with the possibility of documenting a contract with the government agency that owns the project, while the service of submitting labor recruitment applications for Qatar Financial Center companies enables the Qatar Financial Group of Companies to submit a special labor recruitment approval request for its subsidiaries.
Request work visas in Qatar
Applications for work visas in Qatar to government agencies will be approved automatically, if they meet automation standards. It will also reduce the expected steps from 6 to a maximum of 3 steps, and reduce them to one step if automatic approval is applied.
She noted that the Ministry's Digital Transformation Management Unit is working on developing, updating and offering approximately 80 electronic services and transactions during the coming period, as the transaction will be completed without the need to visit the Ministry's building or service offices or submit paper documents.
She pointed out that this unit relies on the Agile engineering methodology, as the first institution in the State of Qatar to adopt it, which provides the ability to launch new services and updates on a monthly basis, which represents a major change in the average release period of approximately 6 to 8 weeks.
In a related context, the Ministry of Labor confirmed its endeavor to launch a comprehensive electronic system for all the services it provides during the coming period, especially for companies committed to the provisions of the law, explaining that it is coordinating with various authorities concerned with developing electronic services provided to the public to ensure the quality of services.

وبحسب وزارة العمل في قطر فإن خدمة تقديم طلبات الاستقدام لتأشيرات العمل المؤقتة تتيح للشركات والمؤسسات طلب إصدار موافقة استقدام للعمال بصفة مؤقتة للعمل في دولة قطر، فيما تتيح خدمة تقديم طلبات استقدام العمالة للمؤسسات الحكومية وشبه الحكومية للجهات الراغبة في استقدام العمالة من خارج الدولة وتشغيلهم للعمل لديها.
كما تتيح خدمة التعاقدات الحكومية للشركات إمكانية توثيق عقد مع الجهة الحكومية صاحبة المشروع، في حين تتيح خدمة تقديم طلبات استقدام العمالة لشركات مركز قطر المالي لمجموعة شركات قطر المالية تقديم طلب خاص بالموافقة على استقدام العمالة لشركاتها التابعة.
طلب تأشيرات عمل في قطر
سيتم الموافقة على طلبات تأشيرات العمل في قطر للجهات الحكومية بشكل آلي، إذا كانت تلبي معايير الأتمتة، كما سيتم تقليص الخطوات المتوقعة من 6 إلى 3 خطوات كحد أقصى، وتقليصها إلى خطوة واحدة في حال تطبيق الموافقة الآلية.
وأشارت إلى أن وحدة إدارة التحول الرقمي بالوزارة تعمل على تطوير وتحديث وتقديم نحو 80 خدمة ومعاملة إلكترونية خلال الفترة المقبلة، حيث سيتم إنجاز المعاملة دون الحاجة إلى زيارة مبنى الوزارة أو مكاتب الخدمات أو تقديم مستندات ورقية.
وأشارت إلى أن هذه الوحدة تعتمد على منهجية الهندسة Agile، كأول مؤسسة في دولة قطر تتبنى هذه المنهجية، والتي توفر إمكانية إطلاق خدمات وتحديثات جديدة بشكل شهري، وهو ما يمثل تغييراً كبيراً في متوسط فترة الإصدار البالغة نحو 6 إلى 8 أسابيع.
وفي سياق متصل، أكدت وزارة العمل سعيها لإطلاق منظومة إلكترونية شاملة لجميع الخدمات التي تقدمها خلال الفترة المقبلة، خاصة للشركات الملتزمة بأحكام القانون، موضحة أنها تنسق مع مختلف الجهات المعنية بتطوير الخدمات الإلكترونية المقدمة للجمهور لضمان جودة الخدمات.
