Research Affairs Specialist 

The Applied Research, Innovation and Economic Development Directorate invites applications for the position of Research Affairs Specialist. This is a full-time permanent position.

Responsibilities


The incumbent will manage the pre and post award grant application process from inception to completion and promote sponsored awards initiatives throughout UDST. She/he will advise faculty and business unit staff on UDSTs awards process, policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will assist faculty staff with proposal development, review and submission process for pre-award agreements to ensure alignment with UDST’s policies and procedures. She/he will collaborate with the Director of Applied Research, Innovation and Economic Development in grant submissions, budget preparation and track payments of all research grants.

She/he will act as a liaison between faculty staff, funding institutions and government bodies and review and update sponsor agreements as recommended by the Director of Applied Research, Innovation and Economic Development. The ideal candidate will need to prepare reconciliation of actuals to budget variance and analysis for annual audit to contribute to grant audit review activities and to ensure timely closeout of audit recommendations.

She/he will need to monitor awards proposal status and advise Principal Investigator on requirements and deadlines associated with research protocols highlighting discrepancies to the Director of Applied Research, Innovation and Economic Development.

The ideal candidate will research best practices in relation to award proposal process to assist in the development of tools and training workshops for faculty members

تدعو إدارة البحوث التطبيقية والابتكار والتنمية الاقتصادية إلى تقديم طلبات لشغل وظيفة أخصائي شؤون البحوث. وهي وظيفة دائمة بدوام كامل.

المسؤوليات


سيتولى شاغل الوظيفة إدارة عملية تقديم طلبات المنح قبل وبعد الجائزة من البداية وحتى الانتهاء منها والترويج لمبادرات الجوائز التي ترعاها الجامعة. وسيقدم المشورة لأعضاء هيئة التدريس وموظفي وحدات الأعمال بشأن عملية منح الجوائز والسياسات والإجراءات في الجامعة. وسيساعد المرشح المثالي أعضاء هيئة التدريس في تطوير المقترحات ومراجعتها وتقديمها لاتفاقيات ما قبل الجائزة لضمان التوافق مع سياسات وإجراءات الجامعة. وسيتعاون مع مدير البحوث التطبيقية والابتكار والتنمية الاقتصادية في تقديم المنح وإعداد الميزانية وتتبع مدفوعات جميع المنح البحثية.

سيعمل كحلقة وصل بين أعضاء هيئة التدريس والمؤسسات التمويلية والهيئات الحكومية، وسيقوم بمراجعة وتحديث اتفاقيات الرعاة وفقًا لتوصيات مدير البحث التطبيقي والابتكار والتنمية الاقتصادية. سيحتاج المرشح المثالي إلى إعداد تسوية بين الأرقام الفعلية وتباين الميزانية والتحليل للمراجعة السنوية للمساهمة في أنشطة مراجعة المنح وضمان إغلاق توصيات المراجعة في الوقت المناسب.

سيتعين عليه مراقبة حالة مقترحات الجوائز وتقديم المشورة للباحث الرئيسي بشأن المتطلبات والمواعيد النهائية المرتبطة ببروتوكولات البحث وتسليط الضوء على التناقضات إلى مدير البحث التطبيقي والابتكار والتنمية الاقتصادية.
