Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain the Networks Broadcast Systems stability and performance at Doha and Global locations.
-
Resolve any impact to service, ensuring key performance indicators and service level agreements are met.
-
Identify and resolve faults, incidents, problems, service requests, and change requests from the Networks Service Desk.
-
React to security incidents by performing necessary operations as determined by the Incident Response team.
-
Ensure the core systems are stable with optimal performance, performing continuous support and configuration.

Monitor server usage, temperatures, and system activity to ensure smooth operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Producing accurate, fair, and the latest news stories that are attractive to the audience.

Review and make appropriate decisions on reports and coverage received in the news room.

Participate in editorial meetings with EP news, suggest ideas about news that need more coverage and content development.

Ensure compatibility of content and coverage with Al Jazeera standards.

Motivate teams and employees, encouraging them to innovate.

Establish daily priorities and allocate assignments to accomplish tasks.

Work with the interview section to request the right guests to address various topics.

Specialist - Satellite Desk

Key Responsibilities:

Receive and execute satellite booking requests from News editors, Interview and Program producers.

Coordinate with field crews & bureaus to ease the flow of incoming news footage.
-
Decide on the best route for news stories, interviews, or live location feeds through satellite/fiber optic/IP Network.
-
Deploy SNG and ENG crews & book broadcast facilities worldwide as and when required.
-
Log all transmissions in scheduling systems, including technical specifications and costs.
-
Communicate with other network satellite desks to optimize usage of resources.
-
Manage communications workflow with MCR, AJA, AJM for all transmissions.
Chiller Engineer (Mechanical Engineer)
