1. Senior Buyer

Ensure the efficient sourcing of recycled products by identifying and developing reliable suppliers, negotiating favourable contracts, and maintaining compliance with quality and sustainability standards. Oversee the verification of the chemical composition of materials to meet operational and industry requirements. Optimize supply chain processes to enhance cost efficiency, ensure timely deliveries, and support the company's sustainability initiatives and long-term business goals.

Job Description:

  • Support the negotiation, purchase and sales agreements to optimise profitability.
  • Identify and cultivate opportunities for enterprise development within the recycling market.
  • Support new initiatives within a high-performing team to drive success for recycling activities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local and international scrap companies to ensure a stable supply chain.
  • Collects and prepares collated information for forecasting, market reports that assist management in their decision-making process.
  • Support in optimising the allocation of recycled materials based on availability, casthouse capability and customer demand.
  • Utilise cutting-edge sourcing strategies and purchasing practices via internally recognized professional supply chain associations.
  • Support with supplier, vendor and contractor negotiations of major contracts.
  • Manage key tasks and priorities and provide reports accordingly on a regular basis to Sourcing Manager.
  • Support the development and training of National employees.
  • Provide input and recommend the continuous improvement of the company practices taking into account 'international best practice', changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department system, processes and practices, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
  • Comply with all agreed occupational health, safety and environmental regulations in order to protect personnel and physical assets. Ensure that the work areas are kept in a clean and tidy state in order that work can be carried out safely and effectively.
  • Adherence to world class best practices for safety, health and environmental standards.
  • Ensure to generate or assist in generation of any departmental reports are prepared as per management request, in a timely and accurate manner to meet company and department requirements governing reporting.
  • Follow of all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Develop and gain approval for department policies and procedures ensuring their alignment to overall business objectives. Monitor and control implementation and advice on the policy application to ensure that they are properly communicated and widely understood.
  • Provide guidance and update the senior management and concerned staff on company tendering policies and procedures.

Job Specific Skills

  • Recycling market knowledge and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge in computer skills including MS Office.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing).
  • SAP knowledge and understanding is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment.

2. Senior Technical Engineer – IT Server Operation

To deliver and support cost effective infrastructure for client/server applications to meet the applications technical requirements by planning, managing and supporting the technical infrastructure of the Company's business applications.

Job Description:

  • Perform all duties related to implementing and maintaining the infrastructure servers, storage, network, help desk modules, applications and internal and external communications for Qatalum to ensure business and technical requirements are satisfied.
  • Enable server and client security using including assessment of security updates in order to ensure that Qatalum's assets and properties are protected from any potential threats.
  • Prepare plans for back-up, disaster recovery plans and perform back-up and restore procedures, for all servers and their running systems across whole Qatalum to ensure the protection Qatalum's intellectual property and mission critical documentation.
  • Perform all duties relating to assisting users in their daily work such as administration of file storage, common areas, user home directories, mailboxes and clients to ensure users have the necessary tools to execute their jobs efficiently.
  • As an active member of the 24X7 IT Infrastructure team member provide support o the entire company site to ensure maximum availability and reliability.
