1. Student Advising Specialist (Qatarization)

Job Description:

  • Reporting to the Head, Academic Advising, the successful candidate will provide academic advising services (in collaboration with faculty advisors) in a developmental dual academic advising model based on a dynamic student/advisor relationship. In this role, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting student success by providing comprehensive academic advising services. You will build strong relationships with students, helping them navigate their academic journey, develop personalized learning plans, and achieve their full potential.
  • In collaboration with Academic Learning Services, develop and implement individualized student success plans, focusing on maximizing potential and supporting at-risk students. 
  • Regularly meet with advisees to track progress, address concerns, and revise plans as needed. 
  • Stay updated on UDST programs and policies, providing accurate information and guidance to students. 
  • Assist students with course selection, sequencing, and registration. 
  • Connect students with relevant campus resources for academic, personal, and social support. 
  • Assist with the facilitation of workshops and training for faculty academic advisors. 
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and departments to enhance student support services. 
  • Utilize EAB Navigate360 to maintain accurate records. 
  • Utilize EAB Navigate360 to maintain appointment availability and manage student advising appointments. 
  • Assist with organizing and running campus-wide academic advising events. 
  • Assist with the hiring and mentoring of peer academic advisors (PAAs). 
  • Ensure adherence to academic advising policies and procedures. 

2. Faculty in Chemistry

Job Description:

  •  Education 
  •  A Master’s / PhD in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry from a recognized institution is required. 
  •  Post-graduate certificate in education teaching methods, or equivalent, is desirable 
  •  Experience
  •  A minimum of three (3) years of full-time teaching experience in upper secondary, post-secondary, or higher education institutions is required 
  •  Previous teaching experience at the university level is preferred 
  •  A combination of recent, relevant academic and/or professional experience may be considered an asset 

3. Chemistry Lab Instructor

Job Description:

  •  Master’s Degree in Chemistry or applied chemistry from a recognized institution .
  •  A minimum of three (3) years of prior full-time teaching experience within higher education institutions in an English-speaking institution , with a focus on instructing chemistry Laboratory courses.
  • Strong knowledge of Chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.

المسمى الوظيفي:

  • تحت إشراف رئيس قسم الإرشاد الأكاديمي، سيقدم المرشح الناجح خدمات الإرشاد الأكاديمي (بالتعاون مع مستشاري أعضاء هيئة التدريس) في نموذج إرشاد أكاديمي مزدوج قائم على علاقة ديناميكية بين الطالب والمستشار. في هذا الدور، سيلعب المرشح الناجح دورًا محوريًا في دعم نجاح الطلاب من خلال تقديم خدمات إرشاد أكاديمي شاملة. ستعمل على بناء علاقات قوية مع الطلاب، ومساعدتهم في التنقل في رحلتهم الأكاديمية، وتطوير خطط التعلم الشخصية، وتحقيق إمكاناتهم الكاملة.
  • بالتعاون مع خدمات التعلم الأكاديمي، قم بتطوير وتنفيذ خطط نجاح الطلاب الفردية، مع التركيز على تعظيم الإمكانات ودعم الطلاب المعرضين للخطر.

المسمى الوظيفي:

  •  تعليم 
  •  - يشترط الحصول على درجة الماجستير أو الدكتوراه في الكيمياء أو الكيمياء التطبيقية من مؤسسة معترف بها. 
  •  يُفضل الحصول على شهادة الدراسات العليا في أساليب التدريس التربوية أو ما يعادلها 
  •  خبرة
  •  مطلوب خبرة تدريسية بدوام كامل لا تقل عن ثلاث (3) سنوات في مؤسسات التعليم الثانوي العالي أو ما بعد الثانوي أو العالي 
  •  يفضل أن تكون لديه خبرة تدريسية سابقة على مستوى الجامعة 
  •  يمكن اعتبار الجمع بين الخبرة الأكاديمية و/أو المهنية الحديثة ذات الصلة أحد الأصول 

3.  مدرس مختبر الكيمياء

المسمى الوظيفي:

  •  - ماجستير في الكيمياء أو الكيمياء التطبيقية من مؤسسة معترف بها.
  •  ما لا يقل عن ثلاث (3) سنوات من الخبرة السابقة في التدريس بدوام كامل داخل مؤسسات التعليم العالي في مؤسسة ناطقة باللغة الإنجليزية، مع التركيز على تدريس دورات مختبر الكيمياء.
  • - معرفة قوية بمبادئ الكيمياء وتقنيات المختبر.
  • إظهار الموثوقية والمسؤولية والمرونة في إدارة بيئة التدريس والتعلم. 
  • مهارات التواصل الكتابية والشفوية الفعالة باللغة الإنجليزية؛ ومهارات التعامل الشخصي التي تساهم في توفير بيئة عمل صحية.
