English Language Instructor
The role will involve engaging in regular feedback meetings with Senior
Instructors, in support of continuous improvement of the instructor’s class and
the department as a whole. Taking ownership of their class and leading by
example, the instructor must demonstrate professionalism and flexibility. The
instructor must also demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional
development and continuous improvement initiatives within the QTI.
Key aspects of the English Instructor role are:
Effective
delivery of the curriculum in accordance with relevant policies and
procedures within the QTI.
Ensuring
military students make good progress as measured against the CEFR.
Support
the development of the department and instructors by identifying opportunities
for continuous improvement.
Support a
culture of reflection and improvement, and show a passion for teaching with
a can-do, solution focused attitude.
Work
collaboratively with all English instructors, and instructors of other
subjects, to provide students with the best chance of success in the
Foundation programme.
Regularly
report student progress, attendance and behaviour to Foundation management.
Engage
with the QTI’s performance management policy effectively to ensure objectives
are met.
