GA GULF Lead Protection (CCS) Field Service Engineer

Details

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing Conventional Control System (CCS) Site Testing & Commissioning activities, ensuring high standards in quality, cost, and time management. The role includes testing Protection IEDs, providing customer support, and overseeing site services. You will be managing and controlling project site service budgets, supervising field service activities, and ensuring compliance with project technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead testing and commissioning of Protection IEDs, AVR, Tariff meters, and Busbar Protection for various projects.

  • Plan and manage resources for field service commissioning teams.

  • Ensure high billable ratios (90% and above) across all projects.

  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to meet project deliverables and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and propose solutions that meet the project scope.

  • Support operations teams to execute projects efficiently while adhering to budgetary and reporting requirements.

  • Ensure EHS compliance and a zero deviation plan.

  • Coordinate the approval process for T&C engineers from key customers.

  • Oversee service execution and ensure that commitments to customers are met per the contract.

  • Lead the implementation of Service-Max and gate reviews during project execution.

  • Handle Protection Relays, Panel modifications, Protection logic diagrams, and more.

  • Support the production of documents and check calculations like CT/VT Adequacy check and relay setting calculations.

  • Manage customer relationships, offer technical support, and resolve issues during FAT and project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 12 years' experience in Protection IED Configuration & Testing.

  • Knowledge of GE (Micom & Multilin) Protection IEDs and competitor products.

  • Experience with substation automation systems and IEC61850.

  • Experience with utilities and industrial customers across the Middle East, particularly in Qatar, is a plus.

  • Ability to handle technical issues, manage projects, and draw conclusions from data.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

  • دعم فرق العمليات لتنفيذ المشاريع بكفاءة مع الالتزام بمتطلبات الميزانية والتقارير.

  • ضمان الامتثال للسلامة والصحة البيئية وتنفيذ خطة انحراف صفر.

  • تنسيق عملية الموافقة للمهندسين من العملاء الرئيسيين.

  • الإشراف على تنفيذ الخدمة وضمان الوفاء بالالتزامات تجاه العملاء وفقًا للعقد.

  • قيادة تنفيذ Service-Max ومراجعات الأبواب خلال تنفيذ المشروع.

  • التعامل مع أجهزة الحماية، تعديلات اللوحات، مخططات منطق الحماية، وأكثر.

  • دعم إنتاج الوثائق والتحقق من الحسابات مثل التحقق من كفاءة المحولات واحتساب إعدادات المرحل.

المؤهلات

  • درجة بكاليروس في الهندسة الكهربائية أو تخصص ذي صلة.

  • خبرة لا تقل عن 12 عامًا في تكوين واختبار أجهزة حماية IED.

  • معرفة بأنظمة حماية IED من GE (Micom وMultilin) ومنتجات المنافسين.

  • خبرة في أنظمة أتمتة المحطات ومفاهيم IEC61850.

  • خبرة مع العملاء في مجال المرافق والصناعات في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، خصوصًا في قطر.

  • القدرة على التعامل مع المشكلات الفنية وإدارة المشاريع واستنتاج الحلول.
