Context and Environment
TotalEnergies’ Al Khalij field is a mature field integrating multiple producing sites, where safety, environmental respect, operational efficiency, and maximizing production are critical. The position is based in Doha at the Msheireb Downtown office. The role demands excellent communication, coordination, accuracy, and adherence to standards, including occasional visits to offshore installations and Halul Island.
Responsibilities

Support Safety Engineering for projects, modifications, and studies ensuring optimal design and technical solutions in coordination with Engineering, Construction, Projects, and Field Operations teams.

Assist in updating Technological Risk Assessment studies and collaborate with contractors.

Develop and promote communication tools and awareness for Major Risk and Process Safety.
-
Create Bow-ties for Major Risk scenarios to visualize safety-critical barriers.
-
Review P&IDs, Safety Engineering layouts (Escape & Safety equipment, Fire & Gas systems, Hazardous areas), and use the PRODOM database for documentation review.

Prepare derogation documentation related to Safety Engineering.

Maintain knowledge of technical references and safety engineering standards.

Manage Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions accounting, reporting, and verification for both operated and non-operated assets.

Liaise with Field Operations and other entities to ensure accurate GHG reporting.

Update and maintain all GHG reporting tools and displays.

Promote HSE performance via dashboards and displays.

Support HSE campaigns such as World Safety Day, Environmental Day, and Contractor HSE Forums.

Participate in audits, trainings, action plans, and use Synergi for monitoring and reporting.

Education: BSc in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering.
