Required jobs in North oil company and their details:

1. Senior Control Room Operator

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for monitoring offshore oil and gas production facilities, utility and life support systems via
  • computer-based SCADA, ESD, F&G control and safeguarding systems under minimal supervision.
  • Responsible for capturing and communicating emergency events impacting safety, production or operation.
  • Responsible for delivering production & business reports and accountable for accuracy of shared information.
  • Responsible for the completion of the tasks given by the production supervisor.
  • Responsible for actively participate of a permanent member of the platform in respect of the team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Daily operating:
  • Ensure production routine tasks are completed and prepare production reports
  • Participate in daily communications and coordination between "Onshore" pertaining to key matters
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with external parties required to meet NOC's business and
  • operational objectives
  • Participate and support Contractor/Vendor performance working on the field
  • Provide Team Lead with regular reports with analysis and comment on performance and results. Be held accountable for area of responsibility
  • Monitoring and optimization:
  • Monitor and control all parameters of the unit to optimize operational performance and enter periodic readings on log sheets
  • Summarize all activities/events and assist in preparing a detailed and accurate shift activity log for shift handover and prepare production reports

2. HSE Superintendent

Accountabilities

Monitoring offshore operational activities to ensure they are conducted in a safe manner and in compliance with NOC CMS 
Contributing to maintaining a strong Incident Free culture by role modelling safety behaviors and supporting mitigations and corrective actions wherever necessary
Driving uniformity, consistency and continual HSE improvement across specific areas of responsibility 
Contributing to the development and review of all risk assessments to ensure that hazards have been identified, adequate mitigations are in place and risk has been reduced to ALARP 

Activities

  • Assist in defining and enforcing health, safety (occupational & process) and environmental operating procedures and controls to build employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude
  • Promote HSE offshore, personally influence personnel behavior and organize HSE awareness campaigns. 
  • Motivate personnel, while also cultivating an open and transparent reporting and foster positive HSE practices
  • Assisting the HSE-SA in ensuring that all activities on and around the installations are planned, executed and completed in a safe and optimal manner 
  • Perform Site Visits with OTL/Production Supervisor and Performing Authorities for PTW preparations
  • Provide support and ensure operational procedures are properly applied, including but not limited to Permit to Work, Isolation, Inhibition procedures, Downgraded Situations, Site HSE Dossier, Job Safety Analysis and SIMOPS requirements
  • Assist with Site HSE drills and participate in Site Emergency training and exercises as a member of the Site Emergency Organization
  • Provide expert advice on process safety, occupational safety and environmental issues on offshore installations
  • Be member of the Site incident investigation team; write incident reports, register and follow-up close out of actions. 
  • Support and share learning from incidents across the field and also from across the offshore industry.
  • Verify inspections of critical safety equipment are current & ensure certifications are up to date
  • Participate in site HSE audits and Inspections (Work permit, isolation, inhibit audits, HSE rounds, etc.). 
  • Participate in HSE Committee and Safety meetings and assist the HSE-SA in planning and preparation of materials.
  • Supporting the HSE Community including sharing of information with the OSL, Field Operations and HSE-Q.
  • Contribute to the development of safety critical procedures, guidelines and tools from an offshore aspect and provide feedback.
  • Assist in raising cultural awareness, personal responsibility and understanding of all employees and contractors, and improve knowledge of offshore employees in HSE technical disciplines
  • Represent NOC appropriately and in accordance with code of ethics when interfacing with internal and external stakeholders

3. Operations Team Lead - Field Support Team

Activities

  • Act as the HSE-Site Authority Deputy to protect the health and safety of all personnel onboard and prevent damage to plant and environment
  • Ensure safe delivery of core business through active management of Base Operations routines and core operational activities while also integrating the execution of Campaign and Project activities
  • Provide the OIM with analysis and comment on performance, opportunities and risks in order to improve business performance and reduce risk
  • Coordinate the deployment of the Field Support Team to ensure all locations are provided the necessary manpower to ensure business priorities are met on time and as required
  • Chair the Daily Permit Meeting to ensure strict compliance with company requirements and safe execution of all platform work activities 
  • Provide direction and support to teams to ensure production targets are met and production / reinjection volumes are maximized
  • Assure that planned maintenance, inspections, campaigns, projects and workovers are carried out in accordance with company requirements to ensure asset integrity and production optimization
  • Motivate and inspire staff in the execution of their responsibilities to drive a performance culture and encourage innovative thinking around process safety and production optimization
  • Coach and develop operational staff competencies based on staff development plan from HR 
  • Contribute to the continuous supply of resources within the talent pipeline for succession planning 
  • Perform internal audits of risk management systems to drive compliance and continuous improvements
  • Support the OIM in the implementation of relevant company policies, standards and processes to ensure employee safety and comply with legislative requirements

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Education: Bachelors of Science in any Engineering field or equivalent
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in O&G production operations
  • Supervisory Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience leading others (Discipline Supv. or Equivalent)
  • Management of Emergencies / Crisis Situations: Minimum 5 years’ experience in this role

4. Industrial Hygiene Engineer Developee (For Nationals Only)

Job holder is responsible for the execution of the Health and Industrial Hygiene programs including the Industrial
hygiene Risk Assessment at the offshore sites.
Industrial hygiene (IH) surveys consist of ‘non-exhaustive list: Noise monitoring and mapping, air quality measurement, chemical measurement, manage Chemwatch system, benzene and other volatile organic compounds exposure.
Contribute to the development of the Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene Services
Being proactive and showing initiative to improve practice
Follow up on important industry changes regarding monitoring and controlling of industrial hygiene risks

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform IH risk assessment on chemical, physical and biological workplace hazards and follow up on action

5. Control & Instrument Supervisor

Activities

  • Coordinate logistics, Control & Instrument maintenance and repairs of equipment located on the platform to ensure the normal operation, while following established company procedures and instructions from the Operating Authority
  • Ensure inspections are carried out following the preventive maintenance program to assure the normal operation of the equipment
  • Ensure that any failure or emergency that may interrupt the normal operations of the Control & Instrument equipment is prevented or corrected
  • Create SAP work orders to ensure all materials are added and estimated work hours are correct
  • Coordinate personnel and logistics during maintenance and repair work to assure quality and efficiency
  • Ensure Control & Instrument maintenance backlog is maintained within Company targets
  • Provide field input to modifications, technical upgrades and improvements to support implementation
  • Ensure safe delivery of core business through active management of maintenance activities and core operational activities while also integrating the execution of Maintenance and Well Service Campaigns and E&C activities
  • Provide Operating Authority with feedback to improve business performance, improve production uptime, deliver cost efficiencies and reduce risk within Control & Instrument area
  • Participate in the Daily Permit Meeting and ensure teams strict compliance with company requirements and safe execution of all Control & Instrument platform work activities

Activities

  • Act as the Permit Controller to ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the Permit to Work process and company requirements.
  • Act as an Isolating and Inhibit Authority to ensure that all isolations are designed, implemented, removed and managed as per Company Policy and Industry Best Practice
  • Provide the Prod Spt.with analysis and comment on production volumes, opportunities and risks in order to improve business performance and reduce risk.
  • Verify and issue all Permit to Work packs to ensure all hazards have been identified, risks have been mitigated and there are no conflicting activities.

  • Provide visible leadership, direction, coaching and support to team members to ensure production targets are met and production / reinjection volumes are maximized.

  • Conduct the Terms & Conditions bid analysis and negotiation
  • Conduct the commercial bid analysis and negotiation thereby creating a clear definition of responsibilities and documents together with the DUET
  • Perform financial analysis of the bidders and evaluate their financial conditions
  • Understand market situation and to be able to interpret market forecasts
  • Participate in recommendations to award through contracts Committees or DOA award validation and tracing of tender documents
  • Participate in the signing of formal document after approval from authorities and partners and clarification of rights and obligations of both signing parties according to DOA
  • Input all contracts/suppliers’ data/documents in the contracts and suppliers database
  • Handover contracts to the contract Partners’ Entities
