MILL & PRODUCTION OPERATIONS

CRANE OPERATOR (BILLETS) 

  • The Crane Operator for billets is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of heavy steel billets from the storage area to the furnace charging table. 
  • They must operate overhead cranes with high precision to ensure a continuous supply of raw material to the production line.
  •  Regular inspections of the crane's mechanical systems and lifting gear are required to maintain strict safety standards. 
  • They coordinate closely with the furnace team to prioritize loads based on the production schedule. 
  • Their role is vital in preventing bottlenecks at the very beginning of the rolling process.

CRANE OPERATOR (STORAGE)

  • This operator manages the movement and organization of finished products within the warehouse or storage yard using heavy-duty cranes. 
  • They are responsible for loading bundles onto trucks for dispatch and ensuring that materials are stacked safely and logically for easy retrieval.
