• Our Middle East operations have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our office in Doha, Qatar.
• We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience. We are looking for someone who is passionate about their field, constantly learning and bringing innovative ideas to life. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background with the ability to:
• Design low-voltage (LV) systems, including power distribution, emergency power, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and cable management in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Design and review renewable energy systems such as solar PV systems, covering panel layout, inverter configuration, string sizing, and integration with the main electrical network if required.
• Have a basic understanding of data center design principles, including power distribution, redundancy concepts, cooling considerations, and typical layout requirements.
• Perform power system studies including load flow, short circuit analysis, motor starting, transient analysis, protection coordination, harmonic analysis, arc flash studies, and equipment sizing.
• Utilize engineering software such as ETAP, Amtech, AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux Evo, Relux, AGi32, StrikeRisk, PVsyst, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Collaborate with the electrical and multidisciplinary teams during the concept, schematic, and detailed design stages of the project.
• Prepare infrastructure plans for low voltage (LV), and extra-low voltage (ELV) networks.
• Possess general knowledge of extra-low voltage (ELV) systems, including data and voice networks, fire alarms, public address systems, access control, intrusion alarms, IPTV, and intercom systems.
• Be a Registered Engineer (or in the process of registration) with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) in Qatar.

• Assist in preparing civil designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform calculations and modeling for roads, drainage, and utilities.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Support the preparation of tender documents and technical reports.
• To deliver against these responsibilities you will demonstrate:
• An honours degree in relevant subject area
• You will work towards Chartered Engineer or near Chartered status in a relevant professional institution
• Previous use of Computer Aided Design and Modelling is desirable, but not necessary
• Be a problem solver and collaborative teammate with good communication skills

• Execute hydraulic engineering tasks, ensuring adherence to delivery standards, procedures, and deadlines.
• Apply technical knowledge to solve routine and complex problems independently, using established methodologies.
• Manage smaller or routine projects as Project Manager when required.
• Maintain and strengthen client relationships through excellent service and delivery, ensuring repeat business.
• Communicate project progress and proactively address issues that may impact project timelines.
• Coordinate activities with peers and provide informal guidance to junior team members as needed.
• Work under the guidance of supervisors and project leaders, with regular review of deliverables.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on hydraulic systems (drainage, water supply, firefighting).
• Proven track record of successfully completed hydraulic engineering projects.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software and tools (Revit, AutoCAD, Elite).
• Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, pipe flow, pump selection, and hydraulic system design.
• Familiarity with stormwater management, water distribution, and wastewater systems.
• Knowledge of local and international codes and standards for hydraulic engineering.
• Experience ensuring regulatory compliance and permitting.
• Basic understanding of HVAC works, including HAP calculations.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Commercial awareness of financial, market, economic, legal, and regulatory environments.
• Agile learner, client-centric, and able to build trust within teams.
• Previous project experience in Qatar and UAE is strongly preferred
