Waseef is recruiting a Collection Officer in Qatar for its Collections Department. The role focuses on receivables follow-up, overdue-account recovery, payment commitments and collection performance across an assigned portfolio. 2. Job Description

The position manages day-to-day recovery activity while maintaining professional customer relationships. It combines account prioritization, negotiation, reconciliation, reporting and coordination with Finance, Property Management, Leasing, Operations, Commercial and Legal teams.

3. Key Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned receivables portfolio and support timely collection of outstanding amounts.
• Follow up with customers through calls, emails, meetings and formal correspondence.
• Prioritize accounts based on aging, value, risk and likelihood of recovery.
• Work toward monthly and annual collection targets and individual recovery KPIs.
• Negotiate payment commitments and payment plans within approved company policies and follow up on promises to pay.
• Identify causes of delayed payments and coordinate resolution of billing, contractual or documentation issues.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities, disputes, commitments and follow-up actions.
• Reconcile customer accounts and coordinate with Finance on invoices, payments, credit notes and outstanding balances.
• Prepare collection forecasts, aging reports and account-status updates and support process, control and automation improvements.
• Maintain professional customer relationships while protecting the company’s commercial and financial interests.

4. Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in collections, credit control or accounts receivable.
• Hands-on experience recovering overdue receivables and achieving collection targets.
• Strong negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle difficult customers and challenging collection situations professionally.
• Good knowledge of ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work under pressure and consistently achieve monthly collection targets.
• Good command of English.

5. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in real estate, property management, facilities management, asset management or other large service sectors is preferred.
• GCC experience is preferred.
• Arabic is an advantage.
