Senior Mechanical Engineer - Pressure Systems

Job Summary:



The role is for a Mechanical Engineer or Civil Engineer experienced in the design of infrastructure wet services and pressurized systems. The candidate shall have hands-on skills and experience in the design, analysis, calculations and detailing of infrastructure wet services systems including but not limited to Domestic Water systems, Fire Protection systems, Irrigation Systems, sewage pressure lines, and Treated Sewage Effluent systems.



Experience in LPG and District Cooling Chilled Water systems is an advantage and preferred skill set.



Responsibilities:


The Candidate shall be responsible for the following:


Responsible for the engineering and delivery of design and details and calculations and reports for infrastructure wet services systems including but not limited to Domestic Water systems, Fire Protection systems, Irrigation Systems, sewage pressure lines, Treated Sewage Effluent systems

Prepare calculations and simulations for large and complex pressurized and wet services systems.

Check calculations prepared by other engineers and sub-consultants where applicable.

Prepare detailed infrastructure wet services systems using 3D software such as Civil3D and InfraWorks and similar software.

Lead a team of draftsmen and modellers for the preparation of detailed design models and drawings and deliverables.

Prepare conceptual and detailed design reports of wet services systems.

Prepare detailed technical specifications for wet services systems.

Liaison and secure authority approvals for infrastructure systems from relevant ministries in Kuwait or in KSA or Bahrain


Education:


Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from a recognized university with the ability to secure Kuwait Engineering Society and Saudi Society of Engineers memberships

Specialised certifications in infrastructure wet services systems will be preferred.


Qualification


KES membership

Team player and team leader

Detailed and demonstrable hands-on knowledge of Civil3D, Infraworks and NavisWorks

Must have delivered projects in the BIM environment

Experience in large infrastructure projects


Professional Experience


Minimum 10 years+ experience of which a minimum of 3 years in leading a team of designers

Verifiable experience in complex and large road and highways projects

Verifiable experience in complex and large city master plans and similar applications


Functional Experience


Team Leader and technical mentor

Leading a team of not less than 5 designers and modellers

Experience in Civil3D, InfraWorks and NavisWorks

Experience in Revit will be also preferred.


Senior Talent Acquisition Officer

Summary:


The Senior Talent Acquisition Officer is responsible for supporting the continued growth and expansion of Pace in its multi-nation operation. In this role, you will utilize your knowledge of Pace business objectives, relationships within the organization, strong sourcing and recruiting skills, and candidate market intelligence to attract top talent to the organization. You will lead, design, implement and execute creative and effective recruiting strategies to meet current and future business needs. You will be responsible for filling simultaneous requisitions by utilizing creative active and passive candidate sourcing techniques and strategies. You will serve as the recruitment subject matter expert, consulting with hiring managers and other company stakeholders to navigate the complexities of the recruiting process.



Accountabilities:


Full life cycle recruiting across assigned business units including our Corporate Center. You will actively partner with Hiring Managers to identify and execute successful talent acquisition strategies. You will strive to bring Pace to the forefront as a leading brand through the engagement and acquisition of best-in-class talent and best-in-practice onboarding.



Knowledge requirements:


Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Human Resources or related field)

Solid professional experience required in different HR functions for a small to the medium-sized organization within the AEC industry.


Skills required:


Background with a strong stakeholder focus, and demonstrated ability and desire to service clients using keen listening, questioning, acknowledging, and consulting skills

Demonstrated collaborative work style with the ability to build strong relationships and work with a team approach

Proven excellent organizational and problem-solving and planning skills, with a proven ability to multitask while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy under pressure

Strong analytical skills for data analysis and candidates evaluation

Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively when working on several vacancies at different stages simultaneously and in addition to other key business deliverables

Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

Skilled practitioner of behaviour-based Interviewing Techniques

Demonstrated experience in various channels to market and can articulate the competency in this skill



Experience requirement:


Minimum 8 years experience in Talent Acquisition roles

Min 3 years experience working with and mastery of a globally recognized Applicant Tracking System

Prior experience of utilizing different sourcing techniques i.e., LinkedIn/job portals/ social media/ /search firms/referrals

Previous experience in managing and analyzing recruiting stats and reporting in a dashboard format

Have managed the entire recruiting lifecycle and can articulate this competency

Have created Job Descriptions in previous environments

Experience in high-volume recruiting environments

Past experience in strong relationship management, organizational skills, coordination skills and ability to work cross-functionally and cross-organizationally

Past experience in multitasking requisitions in a multiple discipline environment

Previous work experience in the Middle East or working in an environment requiring knowledge of Middle East labor laws

Must have practised behaviour-based Interviewing in previous roles and able to train the skill to managers and Jr. staff

Experience in working with colleges and Universities as a channel to market.
