Role Overview

The technician services and repairs Volvo trucks and buses to manufacturer and DOMASCO workshop standards, covering mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems with a first-time-right focus.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform scheduled servicing, preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnosis and repairs on Volvo trucks and buses.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic faults using approved procedures and equipment.
• Complete jobs within the specified repair time and service schedule while maintaining workmanship quality.
• Follow Volvo specifications, repair procedures, workshop manuals and technical instructions.
• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical schematics.
• Use Volvo-approved diagnostic tools, technical systems, service information and workshop equipment effectively.
• Carry out systematic troubleshooting and root-cause analysis and perform required testing, calibration, programming and adjustments.
• Conduct post-repair quality checks and identify additional faults or repair needs for escalation to the supervisor/service adviser.
• Maintain accurate job-card and technical records, including findings, diagnostic results, repairs and parts replaced.
• Maintain tool/equipment care, HSE, housekeeping and required technical training.

Qualifications and Experience

• Technical diploma or certificate in automotive, mechanical, electrical or a related field.
• Relevant heavy-commercial-vehicle service and repair experience; Volvo experience is preferred.
• Strong ability to interpret schematics and use diagnostic tools and service information systems.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous technical learning.
