About the Role:
As a Junior Storekeeper, you will support stock management by organizing items in line with the storage strategy and the Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role involves physical movement of stock, use of hand-held terminals, and performing regular quality checks on both inbound and outbound stock.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all goods with care to avoid damage.
- Conduct quality checks on inbound and outbound orders and consignments, ensuring no discrepancies.
- Report stock issues and incidents promptly to the supervisor.
- Ensure proper documentation is completed when receiving shipments and transferring goods.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines set by HIA and report accidents or violations immediately.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Experience in materials handling or warehouse work in a similar environment.
- Ability to use hand-held terminals and computers.
- Basic numerical skills for inventory counting.
- Ability to lift, move, and maneuver goods up to 30kg.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.
- Honest, trustworthy, and respectful.
- Flexible and willing to work in shifts.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with a team.
- Awareness of cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to work in a noisy warehouse environment and handle temperature variations.

Qualifications:
- High school completion.
- Up to 2 years of experience with reputable hotels or restaurant chains preferred.

Key Accountabilities
- Maintain and improve the Environmental Management System (EMS) for Matar by following and enhancing the Matar Environment Management Plan (EMP) to ensure effective implementation of all EMS processes.
- Plan and conduct internal and external EMS audits, developing and adhering to audit plans to ensure compliance with the ISO 14001 standard.
- Proven experience in the implementation and management of Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
- Strong background in International Environmental Auditing (IEnvA).
- Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 14001.
- Certified ISO 14001 Lead Implementor.
- Specific experience in aviation and airport environmental management.
- Expertise in Climate Change Adaptation & Mitigation (CCA&M).
- Proven ability to integrate climate change adaptation and mitigation measures into EMS practices.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant climate change regulations and policies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, including ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of job-related experience.
- Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 14001.
- Certified ISO 14001 implementation personnel.
- Preferred experience in Airport / Aviation Environmental Management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
