Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Engineering Dossier: Ensure the delivery of a robust Electrical engineering definition that meets international standards, company standards, project Basis of Design, and SOR.
- Engineering Coordination: Ensure proper execution of the electrical design in compliance with international standards, project specifications, quality, and safety standards.
- EPC Contractor Interaction: Challenge EPC contractors on proposed designs and supervise the development of the electrical design, including cable layouts, load lists, and equipment datasheets.
- Field Optimization & Cost Savings: Identify and promote technical optimization and cost savings that are compliant with the project schedule and contracts.
- Weight Control: Work with weight control engineers to ensure accurate weight monitoring and control.
- Cross-disciplinary Coordination: Ensure close coordination with other disciplines on engineering, constructability, and operational issues.
- Documentation Review: Review electrical discipline documents, deviations from standards, and promote the submission of value engineering proposals.
- Risk and Scope Change Management: Identify potential risks and scope changes within the electrical discipline and provide detailed information to the NLQ Engineering Coordinator.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualifications: Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in the electrical field in offshore oil and gas industry, particularly in offshore LQ accommodation platforms.
- Software Knowledge: Proficient in electrical engineering software, especially AVEVA Electrical.
- Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of International Standards: Familiarity with standards such as SOLAS, ABS, NORSOK, NFPA is a plus.
- Language: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Multicultural Environment: Ability to work in a complex and multicultural project environment.
