IT Technician duties and responsibilitiesIT Technicians operate and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure that the concerned people get the most effective IT functionality. Some of their main duties and responsibilities include:
- Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organisation
- Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components
- Ensuring the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software
- Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly

- Count money and audit money drawers.
- Keep accurate records of monetary exchanges, authorization forms, and transaction reconciliations.
- Exchange money, credit, and casino chips, and make change for customers.
- Work in and monitor an assigned area on the casino floor where slot machines are located.
- Listen for jackpot alarm bells and issue payoffs to winners.
- Maintain cage security according to rules.
- Obtain customers' signatures on receipts when winnings exceed the amount held in a slot machine.
- Reconcile daily summaries of transactions to balance books.
- Sell gambling chips, tokens, or tickets to patrons, or to other workers for resale to patrons.
- Calculate the value of chips won or lost by players.
- Furnish change persons with a money bank at the start of each shift.
