About the Role

In this combined position, the Sustainability and Service as Action Coordinator will drive initiatives that align with the IB philosophy and the school’s core values. This role requires an inspirational, adaptable leader with a commitment to promoting environmental responsibility and global citizenship. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a passion for sustainability, and the ability to engage and motivate students, staff, and the broader community to participate in sustainability and service projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Sustainability Strategy Leadership
  Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive school-wide sustainability strategy that aligns with the school’s vision and values.
• Service as Action Coordination
  Coordinate the Service as Action program for the Middle and/or High School, ensuring it meets educational goals and engages students meaningfully.
• Curriculum Integration
  Collaborate with teachers to incorporate sustainability and service-learning into the curriculum to enhance students’ learning experiences.
• Mentorship and Engagement
  Mentor and guide student-led clubs and initiatives focused on sustainability and community service, empowering students to take ownership of their projects.
• Event Organization
  Plan and organize campaigns, activities, and events to promote environmental awareness and inspire community involvement.
• Partnership Development
  Build partnerships with local and global organizations to expand service-learning opportunities and create meaningful community engagement experiences.
• Policy Development
  Regularly assess and update policies and procedures related to sustainability and service programs, ensuring they remain relevant and impactful.

• تنسيق خدمة كعمل
  تنسيق برنامج خدمة كعمل في المرحلة المتوسطة و/أو الثانوية، لضمان تحقيق الأهداف التعليمية وإشراك الطلاب بشكل هادف.
• دمج الاستدامة في المنهج الدراسي
  التعاون مع المعلمين لدمج الاستدامة والتعلم من خلال الخدمة في المنهج الدراسي لتعزيز تجربة الطلاب التعليمية.
• الإرشاد والمشاركة
  الإرشاد وتوجيه الأندية والمبادرات التي يقودها الطلاب في مجالات الاستدامة والخدمة المجتمعية، وتمكين الطلاب من تولي المسؤولية عن مشاريعهم.
• تنظيم الفعاليات
  تخطيط وتنظيم الحملات والأنشطة والفعاليات للترويج للوعي البيئي وإلهام المشاركة المجتمعية.
• تطوير الشراكات
  بناء شراكات مع المنظمات المحلية والعالمية لتوسيع فرص التعلم من خلال الخدمة وخلق تجارب مجتمعية ذات مغزى.
• تطوير السياسات
  تقييم وتحديث السياسات والإجراءات المتعلقة بمبادرات الاستدامة والخدمة بانتظام لضمان بقائها ذات صلة وفعالية.
