The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECEN) Program at Texas A&M University at Qatar is inviting applications for a full-time academic professional track position (non-tenure track) in computer engineering.

🗓️ Start Date & Duration

• Appointment Type: 9-month academic position

• Start Date: Summer or Fall 2024

• Additional Work: Two summer courses (3-month salary extension)

🧑‍🏫 Duties and Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility: Teaching undergraduate and possibly graduate courses

• Teaching Load: 3 courses per semester (Fall and Spring) + 2 summer courses

• No research expectations

• Participation in departmental service

Research Assistant Professor

Position Overview

The Mechanical Engineering (MEEN) Program at Texas A&M University at Qatar invites applications for a full-time Research Assistant Professor position (working title: Engineering Assistant Professor), in the area of robotics and autonomous systems.

Preferred Areas of Expertise

Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas will be given priority:

• Industrial robotics

• Control and autonomous systems

• Intelligent robotics for exploration, manufacturing, and construction

• Advanced sensing and actuation technologies

• Mechatronics and human-machine interaction

• Artificial intelligence applications in robotics and autonomous systems

Position Type and Expectations

• Track: Research-track (non-tenure)

• Academic Appointment: 9-month basis

• Start Date: Spring or Fall 2024, depending on availability

• Teaching: Undergraduate and graduate courses

• Research: Expected to develop an independent research program

• Engagement: Contribute to scholarship within the university and discipline
