1. Education and Technology Specialist
We are seeking a forward-thinking professional who brings genuine innovation to education. In this capacity, you will lead the design and development of digital learning solutions from AI-powered tools and EdTech platforms to blended models and context-ready digital content for vulnerable learners. You will also drive the integration of emerging technologies across programme’s projects, and initiatives.
Candidates with teaching experience and demonstrated expertise in educational content development will be given strong priority.
Responsibilities
- Lead ideation for new EdTech solutions challenge notes, concept notes, landscape scans, and rapid needs assessments in crisis settings.
- Embed AI, generative tools, and data analytics into learning models and digital pedagogy.
- Identify and pursue collaboration opportunities with EdTech partners, startups, and global tech firms.
- Design, review, and curate engaging digital learning materials (interactive modules, OERs, multilingual content) suitable for low-connectivity and refugee contexts.
- Oversee development of EdTech products: apps, platforms, VR/AR tools, offline-first solutions.
- Ensure all content is inclusive, accessible, and aligned with SDG4 and national curricula.
- Manage rollout of digital education projects with implementing partners, including partner selection and capacity building.
- Lead development of teacher training materials on digital pedagogy and tech integration.
- Co-create MEL frameworks for digital modules (learning analytics, impact measurement).
- Track project performance using digital data tools; generate insights and data-driven reports.
- Ensure compliance with ethical AI standards, data privacy, and child protection policies.
- Review partners’ technical reports and ensure alignment with program objectives.
- Support project reviews, partner engagement, and program monitoring across different projects and initiatives.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of EdTech and digital learning solutions (platforms, AI tools, offline content).
- Work closely with M&E to integrate digital analytics, user trends, and learning insights into MEL.
- Deliver digital teacher training on tech use, digital pedagogy, and AI literacy.
- Provide digital analytics dashboards and data-driven insights for continuous product improvement.
- Ensure all digital assets meet standards for cybersecurity, accessibility, and ethical AI.
- Support additional assignments or strategic initiatives requested by your supervisor or EAA leadership.
Qualifications & Experience;
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, or a related field.
- Degrees in Computer Science, Information Systems, AI, Human-Computer Interaction, or Digital Media are also suitable when combined with education/EdTech experience.
- Additional certifications in EdTech, AI in Education, Learning Design, Project Management, or Data Analytics are an advantage.
- Experience:
- Previous teaching experience will be given strong priority.
- Previous experience in educational content development is considered a key requirement.
- At least 5–7 years of growing, hands-on experience
2. Cost and Operations Specialist
The Specialist ensures accurate and timely analysis of financial reports submitted by partners and monitors adherence to agreements, approved budgets, and internal processes. The role also oversees program’s budget and produces financial management reports to support leadership decision-making. Beyond financial accuracy, the Specialist plays a key role in ensuring resources are used effectively to maximize educational impact.
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with international partners, contribute to global education and development initiatives, and strengthen EAA’s ability to deliver sustainable results.
What You’ll Do
- Review and analyze partner financial reports, conduct cost variance assessments, and interpret financial data to evaluate past performance and project future trends.
- Verify payment requests against supporting documentation before submission to EAA’s Finance Department.
- Monitor partner and EAC’s projects budgets to ensure compliance with agreements and allocations and provide regular performance insights to EAC leadership.
- Evaluate project budget formulations and expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness and deliver value for money.
- Review proposal budgets and benchmark costs against historical data, organizational standards, and market rates to ensure accuracy, compliance, and cost-effectiveness as applicable.
- Participate in proposal review committees (as and when required) and provide expert analysis and recommendations on projects budgets.
- Collaborate with EAC and other EAA program teams to provide legal, financial, operational, and communication support for EAC projects, as required by EAC/EAA management.
- Prepare financial management reports, including cash flow and budget forecasts, to support senior leadership in effective decision-making
- Uphold high standards of confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information and ensure sound financial governance.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant full-time experience in financial analysis, budget monitoring, or project finance.
- Proven ability in financial reporting, cost analysis, and budget evaluation; proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with strong analytical and reporting skills.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Integrity, discretion, and ability to thrive in a collaborative, multicultural environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in Arabic & English.
