Required jobs in Doha College and their details:
1. Primary Arabic Teacher (Temporary Maternity Cover)
We are looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Primary Arabic Teacher to join the Modern Foreign Languages department in our Primary school from March 2025 to cover a maternity leave for a period of three months. The post holder will be joining a friendly and supporting team and will contribute to teaching Arabic to native and non-native Arabic speakers.
About You
- Candidates should have the ability to teach Arabic, and the ability to teach an additional language will be a distinct advantage. Applicants should have a degree in Arabic and a teaching qualification and be a highly motivated and successful practitioner, who is willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the college including extra-curricular activities. Candidates should have a passion for languages and the ability to apply a range of teaching strategies that motivate and encourage children to want to learn. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver lessons that inspire children to succeed, have a detailed knowledge of the UK National Curriculum, as well as a commitment to the pursuit of excellence in education standards. We are a British international school and all of our lessons are taught in English. A high standard of written and spoken English is therefore essential. Applicants should be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision including co-curricular activities.
2. School Nurse (Maternity Cover)
We are now looking to appoint a School Nurse for Maternity Cover, to start with us in March 2026 until 30 June 2026.
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining the First Aid Unit and ensuring that students receive appropriate health care and advice in order to maximise their ability to learn and develop physically, socially and emotionally and also play an advisory role in licensing our clinics.

About you
- The ideal candidate would have a sensitive and caring nature, a recognised nursing qualification and experience working with children preferably in an educational setting. An administrative background would be an advantage.
- This is a local hire and unsponsored post for which remuneration is salary only (no benefits are provided in addition). Only candidates with family sponsorship currently residing in Qatar will be considered.
- Registration with the Department of Healthcare Professions is mandatory for this post.
- We are a British international school, and all of our lessons are taught in English, therefore a high standard of written and spoken English is essential for all positions.
