Required jobs in EGEC Qatar company and their details:
1. Project Manager
Project Manager will be responsible to manage the project execution in accordance with contract
requirements and with the implementation of the company quality and HSE system within allocated Budget.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct Construction projects from commencement to completion.
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Monitoring project with respect to budgeted cost, demand forecasts, to ensure timely execution of projects.
- Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Co-coordinating weekly meeting with construction projects manager for review of progress and site issue.
- Monitor the work done by Projects Manager & Quality team to ensure the Construction Quality System & the compliance.
- Monitoring the work done by Project Manager for Progress schedule.
- Ensure that the Project Manager has met the contractual conditions of performance.
- Coordinate with Project Manager in regards to Fortnightly Backlog & look ahead plans, Construction Schedule Review & take necessary steps (Catch up plan) to meet the critical Activities deadlines.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Plan ahead along with the Projects manager to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
- Coordinate with Project Manager in regards to Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
- Follow escalation mechanism to address any critical issues.
- Coordinate with Project Manager in regards to ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Monitor construction projects and contractual regulations for occupational health and environmental protection according to "HSE Program Site.
- Provide the support and cooperation in regards to the Quality department requirements and Audits.
- Provide the support and cooperation in regards to the Business development & tenders management activities when requested.
- Focal point for Project hand-over from Tenders and Proposals Department.
- Developing project management plans, determine priorities & objective, control work load and keeps sufficient records for workflow and output.
- Direct and manage proposed designs, drawings, and specifications for appropriateness to required function and /or standard and initiate revisions where appropriate.
- To coordinate with top management to lay down the strategies and set the projects constrains for the execution of the project.
- Manage all projects’ constrains in view of EGEC’s policy and culture.
- Maintain internal timely and accurate site reports. Conduct regular Team meetings and implement corrective actions.
- Perform Integrated Change Control. This includes EOTs and Cost Variations.
- Able to achieve Project Close-out in site of client satisfaction and good quality.
- Define any vague issue in the scope handed from Tenders and Proposals Department.
- Manage the project scope of work by defining the scope and performing control on the requirements and variations.
- Verify the scope with client to assure the presence of a common base with the former insuring that stakeholders’ expectation are spoken aloud and recorded.
- Create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) till the activities level in coordination with project team.
- Acquire resources to develop and manage project team considering resource leveling.
- Mobilize the resources and equipment required for the completion of the project on time meeting the requirements of the client in terms of quality and delivery.
- Assure the development of proper and realistic project program.
- Discuss, review and submit to the client the proposed project program.
- Conduct internal review meetings with section heads and selected subcontractors to monitor the work progress, in accordance with the project program.
- Attend all regular meetings, organized by the client to manage and control the progress of the work.
- Review and produce all necessary daily, weekly and monthly reports as per the project requirements.
- Capable to apply preventive/corrective measures and techniques to keep the project budget in healthy conditions.
- Follow up the payment applications/ certificates and variation orders till obtaining client’s approval and being forwarded to payables.
- Ensure compliance to EGEC quality standards, all applicable regulations and legal requirements. In addition, record, report and monitor any deviation from the same.
- Able to identify project’s risks and to set mitigation policies and measures in coordination with the project team.
2. Senior Structural Engineer- Replacment Task - immediately
Sr. Structural Engineer is concerned with delivering the intended project objectives or scope related to structural supervision by ensuring application of relevant codes, standards, and best practice while coordinating with other disciplines to deliver an efficient construction process.
Duties & Responsibilities, (include but not limited to):
- Analyze configurations of the basic structural components of a building or other structure to ensure they are accurate and feasible.
- Supervise and maintain construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner.
- Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications
- Perform complex structural analysis using engineering software to ensure designs meet building codes and safety standards
- Develop and implement structural systems using materials like steel, concrete and wood
- Assess potential risks, materials and costs.
- Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies
- Monitor progress and compile reports in project status
- Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials
- Attend & Lead project review meetings to evaluate progress of on-going construction or maintenance activities.
- Liaise with Project Manager to understand the implications of their design/construction of their project in relation to maintenance and on-going operation.
- Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
- Report technically and financially regarding planning and overall progress of approved plans.
- Evaluate the issues raised by the Jr. Engineers & provide solutions
- Review structural analysis to ensure designs meet the project’s specifications and requirements.
- Develop and implement steel and concrete structural systems.
- Select optimum path for executing particular activities through comparative analysis for alternatives.
- Ensure the compliance with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc. and delivery of technical files or other technical documentation as required.
- Choose appropriate materials based on structural specifications
- Monitor on-site construction processes and supervise construction workers
- Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
- Attend & Lead project review meetings to evaluate progress of on-going construction
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Minimum15 years of experience
- PMP Certified
- VMA Certified (Value Methodology Associate – SAFE international).
- UPDA Grade A Certified
- Experience in various scale projects including health care, educational, hotels, administrative, sports, industrial, high-rise buildings and commercial complexes.
- Experience in almost all structural systems including hollow core slabs, post-tension slabs, precast, steel and traditional concrete structures.
3. Mechanical Design Engineer
Responsible for undertaking reviews and approval of mechanical engineering design packages including drawings, specifications, and other form of documentation prior to submission.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform design review of mechanical services (HVAC, WS, DR&FF) for all projects for the following but not limited to; high end residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, shopping centers, hotel, hospitals, universities, both high-rise and low-rise developments etc.
- Develop conceptual design and preliminary design documents, which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting of these systems, the development of HVAC, Water supply, Drainage & Firefighting system diagram and Utility Systems Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), and general arrangements.
- Develop final design documents including specification, sequences of operation as well as the HVAC, Water supply, Drainage & Firefighting layout and final design documents.
- Prepare data sheet for major equipment’s, tender specification & Design Reports.
- Coordinate efforts for design reviews with other design review team members in all disciplines such as Architectural, MEP, Structural, project managers, and others as required.
- Provide the support and cooperation in regards to the Quality department requirements and Audits.
- Provide the support and cooperation in regards to the Business development & tenders management activities when requested.
- Site visit to handle client / vendor quires, input collection & design co-ordination.
- Maintain effective communication with project team members, other departments, suppliers and clients.
- Provide the support and cooperation in regards to the Quality department requirements and Audits.

- To ensure, Implement, Maintain quality, safety and environmental systems in compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards

- To Report and record the QHSE dept. non-conformities and in coordination with QHSE dept for closure.
- Identifying, evaluating, and controlling hazards and risks in the workplace, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and promoting a culture of quality, health, safety & environmental within the organization.
- Understanding, support and follow the waste management system
- Coordinate and contact the organization ERT team during in emergency case
- Record, report the incidents and near misses to the management and QHSE dept.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8 to 10 years of experience
- Proficient in AutoCad and other Applications such as Revit (BIM), HAP Software , and other equivalent applications.
- Very good knowledge of software selection for AHU , FCU , and Fans.
- Deal with other departments to resolve questions and technical issues.
