The incumbent is responsible for leading and managing the review, analysis, and resolution of insurance claim rejections within PHCC. This role ensures the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of the claims process, proactively identifies trends and root causes of rejections, and implements strategies to minimize future denials.
Key Accountabilities & Duties:
- Oversee the review and analysis of rejected insurance claims, ensuring timely resolution and resubmission.
- Investigate reasons for claim rejections, coordinate with clinical, coding, and billing teams to correct errors, and facilitate appeals as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, payer requirements, and PHCC policies in all claim handling activities.
- Liaise with insurance companies, and third-party administrators to resolve complex claim issues.

- Conduct clinical audits based on the framework and priority areas identified by the Clinical Effectiveness and Quality Assurance.
- Conduct clinical audits based on incidents and client complaints in coordination with the Quality Management.

Key Accountabilities & Duties:
- To provide support on designing and implementation of costing and financial systems.
- To be custodian of all costing databank, its accuracy, processing and availability as required.
- To reconcile periodic cost information in Cost Accounting System, with GL and other information systems to ensure accuracy and integrity of reports and analytics.
- To apply cost allocation methodologies for common cost distribution amongst PHCC health centers, head office and PHCC cost centers in costing and financial system after source entries as per defined rules and allocation basis.
- To process cost information after due corrections, allocations and due validation and submit financial cost reports to Senior Cost Accountant/Head of Costing for vetting and final submission to management.
- To accumulate and integrate relevant cost and revenue data for profit & loss statement by health centers/ costing centers and specialties.
- To arrange for agreed allocation values from relevant quarters and enter into system.
- To do financial modelling as and whenever required for any impact analysis to support management decisions.
- To gather support data and analyze report periodic variances and their causes, focusing primarily on spending and idle capacity variances.
- To join Senior Cost Accountant for costing studies with clinical SMEs and capture relevant data and processing.
- To conduct continuous check and verify from source documents the accuracy of data and cost assignments through feeder and infix any corrections required.
