1. Site Engineer (Roads)

Job Description:

• Oversee all road construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with design and construction teams to ensure smooth execution of road works, including grading, paving, drainage systems, and signage.
• Monitor work progress, identify potential delays or issues, and take corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure road works meet quality standards and approved designs.
• Maintain proper documentation of all road works, including progress reports, safety reports, and quality control checks.
• Manage site safety, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and minimizing risks.

Job Description:

• Assist the QA/QC Manager in implementing and enforcing the project’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Plans at the site level.
• Review contractor inspection requests (IRs) and coordinate with site inspectors to perform inspections as per approved ITPs.
• Monitor contractor and third-party laboratory tests to ensure compliance with approved sampling and testing plans.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, NCRs, corrective actions, and quality documentation for project handover.
• Ensure timely processing of NCRs and follow-up on corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate with material engineers to verify compliance of materials, ensuring traceability through inspections and certificates.
• Support QA/QC Manager in preparing periodic quality reports, trend analyses, and inputs for monthly progress reports.
• Conduct spot checks on workmanship and adherence to specifications.
• Liaise with contractor QA/QC staff to resolve quality issues on site.
• Participate in toolbox talks or quality briefings to reinforce quality requirements.
• Verify implementation of corrective actions and initiate prevention of nonconformances.

• Propose overall concept design and develop briefs for master planning based on market and regulatory understanding.
• Review preliminary pricing, financing structures, and perform stakeholder coordination for data gathering.

• Communicate changes to the Master Plan post-approval to relevant teams on time.
• Assess impact on delivery activities and minimize financial/operational impact.

• Perform dimensional and routine calculations required for drawing preparation and ensure accuracy in layouts.
• Prepare engineering drawings and models including layouts, profiles, cross-sections, structures, assemblies, and multiview blocks.
• Collaborate with design engineers to develop and finalize design drawings and 3D models.
• Perform clash analysis, generate clash reports, and update 3D models as per design changes.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare detailed reports.
