- Proficiency in performing alignment using the reverse dial indicator method
- Ability to interpret dial readings and calculate offset and angular misalignment accurately
- Experience alignment procedures, including consideration of thermal growth
- Familiarity with alignment tolerances as per industry standards
- Capability to identify and correct soft foot conditions
- Understanding of different coupling types and their impact on alignment
- Ability to use precision measuring tools such as dial indicators, vernier calipers, micrometers, and feeler gauges
- Good understanding of safety procedures and best practices during rotating equipment maintenance
