Commissioning Engineer Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute mechanical commissioning activities for static and rotating equipment.
• Review engineering documents, ITPs, procedures, datasheets, punch lists and test packages.
• Perform pre-commissioning checks, loop checks and system readiness verification.
• Oversee commissioning of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, tanks, pipelines, valves and auxiliary systems.
• Lead start-up, performance testing and troubleshooting until handover.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, QA/QC and HSE standards.
• Prepare and submit commissioning reports, as-builts and final documentation.
• Coordinate with operations, vendors and client representatives for smooth project handover.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in mechanical commissioning in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical projects.
• Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment, pumps, valves, piping and auxiliary systems.
• Hands-on experience with commissioning procedures, method statements, ITPs and checklists.
• Good understanding of API standards including API 610, API 682, API 614 and API 650, as well as ASME and ISO.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in challenging field environments.
