BIM Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Support 3D design models and develop, manage, and coordinate BIM models for roads, highways, and related infrastructure.
- Generate 2D drawings from 3D models.
- Maintain high standards for BIM implementation.
- Perform clash detection within the discipline and ensure multidisciplinary coordination.
- Manage the project BIM/CAD team, ensuring quality assurance and quality control of models and drawings.
- Create BIM deliverables, clash detection reports, BIM quality control plans, and design reviews.
- Develop and manage 3D models for roads, highways, earthworks, drainage, and related infrastructure using Civil 3D and other BIM tools.
- Support the implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEP) for deliverables production.
- Lead BIM standards, modeling workflows, and digital delivery processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot software issues.
- Create templates and libraries according to client requirements.
- Train modelers and oversee onboarding to projects.
- Act as the focal point between the BIM Management team and the project design team.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 3 years on roads/highways/infrastructure projects.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Infraworks, Navisworks, and other relevant BIM tools.
- Familiarity with international BIM standards (ISO 19650 or similar).
- Experience in clash detection, model coordination, and multidisciplinary BIM workflows.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Gulf experience and knowledge of Qatar’s infrastructure projects is a plus.
