1. Medical Sales Tender Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Medical Sales & Tender professional who will help identify, manage and win large contracts from both the government and private healthcare industry in Qatar. He/She will be responsible for introducing and coordinating the bid response process, developing and maintaining a knowledge base of ‘standard’ answers and templates, as well as identifying ways to improve the quality, consistency and efficiency of the bid response process.
Areas of Responsibility will include:
- Preparing and submitting proposals (expressions of interest, concept notes and tenders) and budgets in cooperation with internal team as well as external partners or suppliers
- Compile, edit, and proofread commercial proposals which contain technical content and designs ensuring that these are presented in a professional and concise manner
- Ensuring that the most appropriate and relevant solutions for each bid are effectively pulled together from all parts of the business
- Gather relevant insights (competitor and incumbent) to ensure company tenders take account of competitor offering and to support company’s bid submission.
- Preparing content for a range of proposals including direct sales for small to large sized projects
- Review and revise documents prepared by others and coordinate the preparation of those materials in a completed bid document
- Determine the scope and timeline of new bids. Lead and coordinate the preparation of the bid ensuring that other contributors provide information on time to the correct standard answering the client’s needs
- Develop knowledge of business, its products and services by reading and review previous bid and design documents and spending time with pre-sales, technical and commercial functions Develop computer-based document store and reference materials
- Review and improve other customer materials and develop a consistent set of standards for other commercial functions to follow
- Creating and fostering relationships with clients, partners and associates.
- Make sure all logistics associated with the tender process (e.g. delivery of samples, any special arrangements with key customers) are managed through to completion.
- Handling timely submission of applications (digital and physical) in accordance with client stipulations, ensuring quality assurance processes are adhered to.
- Reconcile pricing rates with previous pricing for existing clients
- Management of aspects of the bid process to ensue deadlines are met.
- Obtaining feedback from purchasers when tenders are unsuccessful in order to improve in future.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven success as a Bids & Tenders professional in a similar sector (Medical Device, Consumables, etc.)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience developing proposals to secure grants and contracts.
- Working knowledge of the bid submission and tender associated terminologies.
- Degree level qualification in medical field, or equivalent work experience.
- Applied knowledge of project cycle management including problem analysis, project design, financial planning and management, and monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience preparing quality narrative and financial proposals
- Experience coordinating bid teams to deliver proposals, bids, or manage contracts.
- Able to manage several concurrent project duties and competing demand without losing focus
- Perform calmly and effectively under pressure and deliver to tight time frames
Skills
- Excellent communication skills to manage clients and partners and gather deliverables from a range of internal and external stakeholders within pressurized schedules.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Very strong writing skills to be able to construct high quality, complex narratives and convey complex ideas simply and clearly.
- Strong numeracy skills and moderate-advanced level of competence using Excel spreadsheets and formulas for financial information including price modelling and budget preparation.
- Confident and proficient in IT skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
2. Product Specialist - Medical Consumables
Job Description:
Sales Representative are responsible for selling the company’s products by identifying leads, educating prospects on products through phone calls, face to face meetings, presentations and providing exceptional support to existing customers. He/She must be knowledgeable in medical sales, have prior experience in the Qatar market and be able to communicate in Arabic.
Responsibilities:
- Arranging appointments and meetings to the clinic, pharmacy and hospital-based healthcare staff to sell and promote company products.
- Evaluate appropriate prospects, schedules appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all products offered.
- Having depth product knowledge and should be able to conduct presentation, demos and relay objection handling.
- Follow up with potential and existing customers to promote new or current products.
- Building and maintaining good business relationships with customers to encourage repeat purchases.
- Answer all questions and address all concerns that the customer may have.
- Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often utilizing product demos and presentations.
- Coordinate with other sales reps to ensure company quotas and standards are being met, performing market research and regular competitor monitoring.
- Take orders and disburse receipts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Must have QATAR ID
- Must have Qatar Driver's License
- Must have NOC or Work Permit (if under family visa)
- University Degree in Medicine, Dermatology, Surgical, Nursing, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of outdoor sales experience, preferred work experience in selling Medical Equipment, consumables & Devices
- Fluent in English
- Proven success rate at levels above quotas
