1. Safety Officer
Detailed responsibilities are as follows:
- Implementing and monitoring safety procedures and protocols.
- Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Developing and delivering safety training programs for employees.
- Investigating accidents and incidents to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
- Maintaining safety documentation and records.
- Collaborating with management to develop and improve safety policies and procedures.
- Keeping abreast of relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred
- Must have a car and valid driving license
- Proven experience in as Safety Officer in the marine industry
- Familiarity with safety management systems and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Knowledge of maritime safety standards and practices is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
2. Fleet Manager
The Fleet Manager will be responsible for maximizing fleet utilization while meeting budget targets, achieving cost savings, and upholding safety standards in full compliance with regulations. The Fleet Manager participates in strategy formulation and leads the Integrated Operating Teams (IOTs) by managing the Operations Superintendents in line with senior leadership directives and strategies.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Lead Fleet Management to optimize performance and maximize fleet utilization within budget targets, ensuring compliance with safety and local regulations.
- Work closely with country managers to ensure adherence to country-specific laws and regulations, fostering a culture of compliance and accountability.
- Oversee HSE management protocols within their fleets, ensuring compliance and implementation.
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage the multi-disciplinary Integrated Operating Teams (IOTs) covering operations, marine services, technical services, safety, procurement, crewing, admin, and finance.
- Ensure that IOTs comply with the regulations of the organization, such as any HSE, risk management, ESG, procurement, crewing, finance, or any other company regulation or policy.
- Lead and define the recruitment requirements of IOT personnel.
- Monitor IOTs performance and provide support to maintain high operational standards.
- Identify, evaluate, enhance, and implement new initiatives and processes, ensuring adherence to high standards of quality across all aspects of operations, to develop IOTs skills and improve overall performance.
- Develop fleet budget allocation strategies and oversee budget management to ensure financial control and accountability.
- Collaborate with Head of OSV and MOU Operations for sustainable asset uptime, while participating in strategic planning for long-term objectives.
- Participate in policy and procedure-making process and serve as a subject matter expert.
- Elevate IOT roadblocks and facilitate alignment with the Marine Manager, Technical Manager, HSE Manager, Crewing Manager, and Finance Manager.
- Ensure the adoption and utilization of the AMOS system across capable vessels.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nautical or Maritime Studies, or Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture
- At least three (3) years' experience as Operations Superintendent or in Fleet Management or similar position.
- Ten years’ experience in the maritime industry.
- Master Mariner Class 1 (Unlimited) or Chief Engineer Class 1 (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency is a plus.
- Jack Up Barges experience is a plus.
- Priority will be given to those who can join immediately.
3. Technical Superintendent
Key responsibilities:
- As our Technical Superintendent, your main responsibility is to supervise and run the designated units' technical characteristics for ZMI operations ensuring they are maintained to maximize fleet availability and utilization.
- Supports Operations Superintendent with preparing annual barges' maintenance budget and 5 years maintenance budget forecast.
- Calculate the required emergency stock for spares, ensuring the records also available on the vessels and are up to date
- Plan, schedule, and oversee execution of planned maintenance, according to the policies, procedures and with dedicated tools.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee execution of major shipyard maintenance periods, including class special and intermediate surveys.
- Run planned maintenance execution effectiveness analysis.
- Inspect designated barges periodically to ensure that the planned maintenance items have been satisfactorily completed.
- Participates in barges mobilizations as guided by Operations Superintendent, being involved in kick off and follow up meetings, initial, subsequent and close out inspections, providing expertise to IOT and the Master during such. Ensure all downtime and defects are recorded, root cause analyses are executed, corrective actions are implemented.
- Act as the technical subject matter expert, providing support to barge's chief engineer and Operations Superintendent.
- Ensure the adoption and utilization of the AMOS system across capable barges.
- Support development of technical policies, procedures and required tools with technical team.
- Escalate issues to Operations Superintendent where applicable, such as outstanding maintenance.
- Support operations superintendent with the supervision and development of barge' crews.
- Provide technical expertise and support to the vessel crews. This involves troubleshooting technical issues, providing guidance on repairs and maintenance procedures.
- Functionally reports into technical department.
Minimum requirements and qualifications:
- Chief Engineer (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency
- DP Maintenance (NI)
- Degree in Nautical studies
- Three years’ experience in the maritime, or similar industry, in a technical/engineering position or 3 years as Chief Engineer on Jack-up Barges
- GCC experience is a plus
