2. Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Job Description:
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are sterile and ready for use.
- Assist in patient preparation for surgery, including assessment, positioning, and monitoring vital signs.
- Maintain a sterile field and follow strict aseptic techniques during procedures.
- Function as a scrub nurse or circulating nurse depending on surgical needs.
- Count surgical instruments and supplies before and after the procedure to ensure nothing is retained.
- Support the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, and other items as needed.
- Document surgical procedures, nursing care, and patient responses accurately in the patient record.

Job Description:

- Perform pre-procedure assessments and ensure all pre-op preparations are completed, including consent, laboratory tests, and patient education.
- Provide direct nursing care during procedures, including sedation monitoring, sterile field maintenance, and documentation.
- Monitor vital signs, ECG, and hemodynamic status during procedures and respond to emergencies when necessary.
- Administer medications, including IV sedation and emergency drugs, as per protocol.
- Ensure proper post-procedure care, including sheath removal, site monitoring, patient recovery, and discharge instructions.

- BLS certification (mandatory).
