Purchase Representative

Al Rayah Driving School is recruiting for Purchase Representative in Umm Salal Mohammed, Qatar. The role aligns with Procurement & Purchasing; employment type: Full-time.

Role Details and Requirements

• Department: Procurement / Purchasing. Employment type: Full-time.
• The role handles day-to-day purchasing requirements, sourcing materials and spare parts, coordinating with suppliers, obtaining quotations, negotiating prices and ensuring timely delivery.
• Experience in automotive spare parts, vehicle maintenance, workshops or driving-school operations is an advantage.
• Responsibilities cover purchase requirements from Workshop, Training, Operations, Administration and other departments; vehicle spare parts, tyres, batteries, lubricants, tools, workshop materials and automotive consumables; office supplies, stationery, uniforms, cleaning materials and safety equipment.
• The role obtains and compares supplier quotations, negotiates pricing/payment/delivery terms, coordinates with local suppliers and service providers, visits suppliers and markets when needed, prepares purchase orders and follows company approval procedures.
• The role follows deliveries, coordinates with Workshop and Store teams to verify received items, maintains supplier/quotation/price/purchasing records, monitors market prices and alternative suppliers, resolves damaged/incorrect/delayed deliveries, coordinates supplier invoices/payments with Finance, and reports pending purchasing activity.
• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field is requested.
• The listing requests 2–3 years of purchasing/procurement experience, with Qatar experience preferred. It also states Purchasing: 3 years required in the experience field.
• Knowledge of local suppliers and the Qatar market, negotiation and communication skills, Microsoft Excel and Word, and strong follow-up, organization and problem solving are requested.
• ERP/procurement-system experience is an advantage. Good English is required and Arabic is an advantage.
• A valid Qatar Driving License is preferred in the requirements and marked required in the license/certification field; the candidate must be able to visit suppliers and markets.
• The salary is QAR 2,500–3,000 per month. The application asks whether the candidate is comfortable staying in company-provided staff accommodation. Work is in person.
